2018 LEXUS NX- Philadelphia , PA
My lexus 300NX2018, received a dashboard random warning signal; take vehicle to get service while i was driving. Had my vehicle towed to Lexus of Cherry Hill, point of care for my vehicle services. Explained via text messaging with the Lexus Advisor (Jamie)the issue of vehicle (1) the sudden dashboard signal to get to service dealer soon, movement of my vehicle pressing gas oppose a serious safety risk to me where i had to stop several time for safety, vehicle stalled, idle hesitating , forcing me to pull over for safety. Vehicle never showed any smoke, nor unusual noises, driving performance affect my safety in concern. I request Lexus advisor to have a diagnostic done because it had not been driving smoothly. Advisor Jamie message me saying Tech had basically check the vehicle, system pressurized as it should be so if there were leaks they would be visible, basically Tech wasn't getting no read to the problem. I suggest to have him test drive and she said he Tech would drive vehicle and get back. I researched recalls with my vehicle and saw Fuel Pump customer support program for failing fuel pumps recall as with my Lexus 300NX. I told Advisor about the recall and sent her the recall notice online. Advisor looked into the fuel pump recall in our telephone conversation, confirmed the fuel pump was recall n would be replaced. I told her i saw where the failing fuel pump with my Lexus online described what my vehicle was doing. Advisor now said car coolant fans/etc needed to be replace, I didn't understand this when I didn't have a cooling problem before coming there. Advisor tried to pressure me into the coolant fans/ module issues before doing my failing fuel pump, suddenly. I felt they were now lying about fans . I told her i would be in the next day, get a loaner. Next day, i was team up on at lexus by 3 Reps minus the Advisor who was there. Denied me the free fuel pump replacement, pressure to let them fix fans/module 1st , I refused, felt deception practice.

2023 LEXUS RZ- Fairfield, NJ
We are the owners of a 2023 Lexus RZ450e Luxury, a fully electric vehicle. My wife and I rely on the Lexus app (on our Android devices) to monitor essential details such as remaining miles, charging percentage, and the overall status of the vehicle. These features are vital to ensure we have sufficient charge before driving. However, as of Monday, October 14th, the app has stopped displaying this crucial information. Instead, it shows “-1 mi. est” and “-1 %,” (minus one percent!) and the status bar has disappeared entirely. Please refer to the attached screenshot for reference. This exact issue occurred previously in July 2024, and Lexus opened file number 240710002913 to address it. While it was resolved at that time, the problem has resurfaced, leaving us once again unable to monitor the vehicle's charge remotely. This ongoing issue is frustrating and inconvenient, especially given the safety implications of not being able to reliably monitor the vehicle’s charge. We expect better from a $70,000 luxury vehicle, and it is unacceptable that such a problem has recurred. It raises serious concerns about the testing and quality assurance of the mobile app updates. Resolution Request: We find it unsafe to operate the vehicle without reliable access to charge status information via the app. Given that this issue has recurred, we kindly request a resolution. Ideally, we would prefer the vehicle to be replaced, as this persistent issue has significantly impacted our ownership experience. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your response.

1. At [XXX] on [XXX], I was pulling into my gym's parking lot, when I stepped on the break to park my car, instead of stopping, the car accelerates rapidly and crashed through the other side of the sidewalk where there were light pole and cement walls, throwing me forward and backward with seat belt on, I was in total shock! 2. My insurance sent a field inspector to the body shop 2X in hope to repair my car but ended up declaring it a Total Loss. 3. Lexus said they would send a field tech to get the EDR (Event Data Recorder) data from my 2018 Lexus RX350 within 30 days, but the results won't be available for 30-45 days after that. Lexus's slow response to this accident concerns and disappoints me b/c it was a serious crash that Lexus should treat it seriously and promptly. 4. The disbelief of a 'young' car with only 12297 miles could have issues like this puzzled me and drove me to do a lot of online research, then I came across this site [XXX] which contains an article titled '10 Common Problems of A Lexus RX350'. Problem #5 described exactly what had happened to me: 'ONE RECURRING PROBLEM THIS CAR HAS IS THAT THE SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS SEVERELY. THIS TYPICALLY HAPPENES WHEN THE DRIVER IS TRYING TO PARK THE VEHICLE. REPORTS PAINT THE SAME PICTURES REPEATEDLY: THE DRIVER IS PULLING INTO A PARKING LOT, THEY PUSH THE BREAK PEDAL, AND INSTEAD OF STOPPING, THE CAR ACELERATES RAPIDLY, WHICH RESULTS IN A CRASH." Based on this article, it seems that Lexus should have issued a recall, but no! 5. The strange thing was that NO airbags were exploded/activated, yet the vehicle was damaged to beyond repair, it makes me wonder if there was an issue with the airbags too. If this incident had occurred at an intersection, I dare not imagine the outcome...I could have been killed or critically injured along with other innocent people on the road. I am very traumatized by the whole experience and sadly, the feeling seems to have gotten worse as time goes. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5

Lexus folks were very rude, dealership after long battle only in October 2024 i got to update my GPS Software. Also gave my car for changing engine oil post service i am experiencing more wear and engine noise. Post service i am noticing the rear hood door makes latching noise while driving. I, along with many other Lexus CT200H owners have had issues regarding the brakes on the vehicle. I have code: C1391 as reported on a diagnostic tool from Autozone. This has been an issue on my vehicle for months and I’ve read reports of this repair costing upwards to $3000!! Many of us do not have that kind of money to fix a vital function of the vehicle that rely on to keep us safe. If it’s a common and reoccurring issue, I believe it should continue being taken care of by the manufacturer. There was a recall in the past, but it isn’t fair for those who have had this issue after the recall and are responsible to pay this ridiculous amount afterwards!

The vehicle has 119285 miles on it. I have started to see oil leak from the transfer-case/transmission. I called lexus back in August 2023, they were aware of certain vehicle developing oil leak problems. They issued recall on certain vehicles and issued a TSB for oil leak repair. I called lexus today and took the vehicle to the dealership. There is an understanding that my vehicle won't be covered under recall even though the problem is known to lexus. This issue may lead to unexpected breakdown of the vehicle and lead to loose of control of the vehicle.

Engine cut out suddenly while driving 45 MPH, followed by Battery Light, Check Engine Light, and Power Steering Light forcing hazardous emergency stop. Engine would no longer crank, and car had to be towed to nearest Lexus Certified Repair Facility. Technician scanned the system and found four Codes: P0335, P1603, P1604, P1605. After bore-scoping front three cylinders, technician tried to turn motor by hand and was unable to. The motor turned in reverse, but not forward. Technician removed oil pan to find pieces of valve spring broken and pieces of the piston rings and piston fragments from one of the rear three cylinders. Motor will need to be replaced or completely rebuilt after only 133,458 miles and regular servicing.
