The rear differential appears to be an issue on these vehicles. 2021-2022 models/vehicles were recalled for having an issue with the rear differential. Fortunately there was not an accident with my vehicle as I was able to determine that it shouldn’t be driven. However, I’m told by the dealership that there are 155 vehicles waiting for the same repair (a rear differential replacement), and that the part to repair it is unavailable. With this information, I can’t Imagine how many vehicles are still on the road with this problem. There does not appear to be a recall on older models, nor has this issue been reviewed by the mechanics that work for the company. At the very least, this issue should be reviewed during routine maintenance.

The contact owns a 2016 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated while reversing, the rearview camera image was distorted or black. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.

Shortly after leaving my home, I pulled onto the local road that takes me to the freeway. At this time I had noticed a pattern on the front panel of my panoramic sunroof which I had initially believed to be ice, as that is not uncommon for the environment I am in. Momentarily after this, I had merged onto the freeway where a cracking sound became prevalent. It was then when I realized there was no ice on my sunroof, it was the glass beginning to shatter. I immediately pulled over, as safety became a very imminent concern. After analyzing the front panel of the panoramic sunroof, I had attempted to take the vehicle off the freeway for further action as there was no major pieces of glass missing at the moment. After pulling off, the glass had suddenly completely broken, causing a very loud sound and a rush of air. It is important to note that there was zero impact made to the glass previous to the incident. This is a known issue from the Ford/Lincoln manufacturer in regards to their panoramic sunroofs that I happened to become a victim of.

The component that failed is a known issue with the backup camera blue screen. My vin# isn't part of the recall but should be. The safety factor is well known. The dealer has reproduced the issue replaced the camera and applied the temporary fix but it failed again. The temporary fix also caused the 360 feature to freeze in one spot. There were no symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

On my 2019 Lincoln MKC, which has 53,000 miles, the weather adhesive on one side of the moon/sunroof has come loose. The entire assembly is nearly detached, and I suspect this is a manufacturing defect, considering the car is relatively new and has low mileage. While I was driving on the highway, the roof could have come completely loose and potentially hit someone, which raises significant safety concerns regarding this manufacturer issue.

The coolant intrusion into cylinder #2 . Very well known problem with Ford EcoBoost engines. This car has the 2.0L engine and there hasnt been a recall on it yet. It becomes a safety concern when the problem gets bad enough to allow oil to leak , causing a engine fire. The problem was diagnosed by a Lincoln dealer. No, it was not inspected by the manufacturer but my dealer did communicate the issue to Ford. There were check engine lights because this causes a cylinder misfire as the coolant leaking into the cylinders is burned. We already had the problem repaired by replacing the engine long block assembly which cost $8176.93 .

FIRST THE ENGINE BROKE (CRITICAL DAMAGE) WAS REPLACED SECOND THE TURBOS WERE JAMMED, WEREREPLACED THIRD THE THROTTLE WAS INOPERATIVE STIL UNATTENDED FOURTH THE TRANSMISSION AILED STIL UNATTENDED

The backup camera freezes to a single still frame and does not show the accurate view of the rear of the vehicle while backing. Since the camera is frozen to a still frame, any moving object that moves to the rear of the backing vehicle would not be visible in the image that the driver sees on screen. This is extremely dangerous in parking lots where both pedestrian and vehicle traffic are present. This vehicle's rear back up camera can not be trusted in the mall or school parking lot. The entire infotainment screen, where many of the safety features can be found, also goes blank with a black or blue screen. This has been to the Lincoln dealership multiple time and no fix has been found. This is a KNOWN DANGER that has not been addressed and now in the NHTSA hands.

Recall 19V-077 was performed in 2019. On [XXX] The passenger front door was closed and is now unable to open again from the inside or outside. A message is displayed on the dash stating "passenger front door open". Called Lincoln corporate support and spoke with Elaine, she told me the recall has already been performed, and cannot be performed again under any type of warranty or extension as the recall had a cutoff date and has "expired". No parts warranty on the superseded parts either. Told me I will have to come out of my pocket for diagnosis and repairs of the faulty parts installed under their safety recall. Considering the door is not fully latched and can just randomly open on its own given the right conditions this is neglect for my safety and other drivers or pedestrians on the road that may be near the moving vehicle if the door were to open on its own. EVAP issues, purge valve replacement. Leaking gas. Car is drivable. Will not start after pumping gas and is mileage has significantly decreased. Scent of gas is strong.
