There is momentary increase in steering effort during the drive cycle in model year (MY) 2024 Mazda CX-90 vehicle. Sometimes, I have to push too hard when turning the steering back from a turn. This problem was initially fixed on my vehicle by a recall campaign(24V-022 ) in 2024, but the issue has now reappeared.

I am reporting a critical mechanical restraint failure regarding the 5-point harness crotch buckles on the Graco TrioGrow and the Graco TriRide car seats. The red button-release tension on both of these models is engineered with insufficient physical resistance. My toddler is capable of physically depressing the lower crotch buckle and completely freeing themselves while the vehicle is traveling at highway speeds. The harness was explicitly verified as tight via the pinch test and the chest clip was at armpit level, proving the failure is strictly the low force required to disengage the buckle.I contacted the manufacturer (Graco), and their customer support agents dismissed this hardware failure by suggesting 'behavior modification' instead of addressing the mechanical vulnerability. A child restraint system must physically restrain the occupant regardless of behavioral variance. This is an active, ongoing safety hazard for young children traveling in these specific models.

2025 MAZDA CX-5- Issaquah, WA
On May 21st , 2026, while waiting in line to make a right turn (positioned 3rd in queue), the vehicles ahead moved forward. As I transitioned from the brake to the gas pedal to follow, the vehicle experienced an instantaneous engine stall and total electrical failure (NOT an i-Stop event). Pressing the gas caused the vehicle to slowly roll backward. When I immediately tried to reapply the brakes, the brake pedal became extremely stiff and nearly impossible to press down, failing to hold the vehicle effectively. The driver behind me began honking aggressively due to the imminent collision risk. I attempted to lower the windows to signal the other driver, but all electronic controls were completely dead. I had to quickly shift the gear into Park (P) and hit the start button to successfully restart the engine, which temporarily restored functions.

When approaching cars at an intersection, the brake warning does not give any warning, but the cars brake, lock up, and throw me and anything in the seat flying into the floor or side compartment. It was not even necessary to stop that quickly. Totally random and could cause an accident.

CRUISE CONTROL SURGES BEYOND NORMAL LIMITS, HAS TRIED TO TAKE CURVES ON EXITS SO FAST THE TIRES SLIDE AND I HAVE TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES. ALSO, WHEN PULLING OUT FROM BEHIND A CAR, THE CRUISE CONTROL KICKS IN TOO FAST AND IS FLYING TOWARD STOPPED CARS, AND I HAVE TO USE THE BRAKE TO STOP IT OR REAR-END THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. ALSO, THE FUEL SYSTEM WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO FILL UP THE GAS TANK, AND I WAS STRANDED. COMPUTER WOULD NOT OPEN THE FUEL TANK FOR ME TO PUT FUEL INTO IT. HAS TO PRY THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY OFF AND BREAK IT. THEN FUEL WOULD NOT GO INTO THE FUEL TANK, AIR PRESSURE KEPT TURNING OFF THE PUMP. AFTER THOSE INCIDENTS GOT THE CAR BACK FROM THE DEALER AND TWO DAYS LATER IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD IN THE GARAGE, NOTHING WORKED, LOCKS, BACK LATCH, ETC. WHEN THEY RECARGED IT THERE WERE DOZENS OF CODES ON.
