My 2019 Mazda CX-9 Signature has developed a coolant leak at the back side of the engine that is consistent with Mazda TSB 01-013/21. Coolant leaks down onto the oil filter and the exhaust where it's burned off. Currently, I can drive the vehicle, but I need to refill the radiator and coolant reservoir. I'm concerned about this developing into a catastrophic leak that could seize the engine or cause a fire from contact with the exhaust. This vehicle is still under the warranty period of 5 years/60K miles. I will initially contact the dealer regarding this issue.

The power liftgate on the 2023 Mazda CX-5 SUV closes with sufficient force that the vehicle owner's manual warns of possible serious injury or even death, and cautions the operator to be sure that people or objects are not in the way of closure. However, the actual design of the overall system permits accidental closure by way of the key fob even when the operator is out of sight of the vehicle. This effectively renders the warnings meaningless, and disregards the safety of people or objects that might be in the way. The vehicle electronics/computer system uses dual purpose switches in or on the vehicle to activate the liftgate; if closed, a press of the switch will unlock and open it, and if open, the same switch will close and lock it. The system also provides the same feature with an exposed, raised button on the key fob which can easily be accidentally pressed to activate closure. Who then assumes liability for the possible resulting tragedy? During my first month of ownership (April 2023), I have experienced the liftgate opening by accident at least twice and it obviously could have been both opened and closed numerous times by accident totally without my knowledge. In a similar fashion, I have experienced the susceptibility of the other fob switches to accidental activation; the car has been locked by accident as least once, and the horn accidentally activated at least three times when I have been inside the house while the car is out of sight in the garage and the key fob was in my pocket. I am obviously making the reasonable assumption that accidental pressure on the various fob switches is the cause for activation. THE HEADLAMPS CONTAIN AND HOLD MOISTURE, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE NO CRACKS. THIS IS CAUSING MOISTURE, AND THERE IS A CONCERN THAT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS MAY OCCUR IN THE FUTURE.

A couple of months ago we started to have an issue when trying to turn off our vehicle. A warning message stating the car must be be in 'P' to turn off keeps popping up even though the shift stick is in the correct position. We have to jiggle the stick multiple times before the car turns off. This can be a safety hazard if the car is in fact not safely in the park position after being able to turn off the car. The vehicle was recently serviced for an oil change and we were reminded of the issue and were told this is a known issue. They recommended to change the shift switch to resolve it.

2021 Mazda CX-9 Frontal collision at a speed between 10-20 mph. Car shut down after collision and was not drivable. Concern is the driver side airbag did not deploy. (Neither did passenger but there was no person in the passenger seat)

I was driving my car and it suddenly jerks a few times and the engine light turns on. i slowed down and then began to accelerate, and it was losing power and wouldn’t t go above 40mph - even while flooring the gas pedal. Now it won’t start at all. the lights turn on and everything else is fine, but car won’t start and after checking CEL, i’m getting the code p0192 indicating it’s Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Low Input.

Denso Fuel Pump should be recalled!!! It is not sending fuel to the my engine properly it's running rough at even 0-30 miles, becomes difficult to start (cold or mild engine), sputters and idel, and suddenly stalled out in the middle of the road several times, put us in danger from other motorist. My check engine warning indicator is also on, it's not shifting correctly and is lacking rpm power. Mechanic put a code scanner on it and found P0192 (low fuel rail pressure) and P0171 (System too lean)... I have the pictures. Several auto makers have issued recalls, including Mazda. But Mazda only went back as far as 2018. Toyota recalled cars as far back as 2013. Mazda needs to do the right thing or be forced to do so!

The contact's grandson owns a 2006 Mazda RX-8. The contact stated that while her grandson was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that the vehicle had an oil pressure failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

A known faulty cylinder head in these cars is breaking. A simple search of the web shows numerous owners have had the same problem. Mazda dealers KNOW it is a problem. They have upgraded the part, but it comes at a cost of approximately $7800 to owners of said vehicles.

The cylinder head is “seeping” out oil Not a crack and not gasket failure Dealer service advises they could help us get it fixed IF ONLY we had receipts of oil changes. We do not because we change the oil ourself.
