The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21V478000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there were abnormal sounds while shifting gear. The dealer was made aware of the failure and scheduled an appointment for diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was 3,200. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

    THE VEHICLE IS A 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E63S AMG. THIS COMPLAINT TIES TO COMPLAINT NUMBERS 11301860 AND 11307931 REGARDING VIN [XXX]. IN ADDITION TO THE MESSAGES REFERENCED IN THE PRIOR COMPLAINTS, THE CAR NOW MESSAGES THIS: ?NO ESP ASSISTANCE -- DRIVE ON CAREFULLY; CONSULT WORKSHOP? AND ?ELECTRONIC REAR AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK INOPERATIVE.? ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH AN ELECTRONIC EMERGENCY BRAKE WHICH ON ONE OCCASION AUTONOMOUSLY PREVENTED THE CAR FROM MOVING FORWARD. THE M-B DEALERSHIP HAS SO FAR FAILED TO CORRECT THESE PROBLEMS AND, AS FAR AS I CAN TELL, HAS NO PLAN TO DO SO.
