  • 2025 MERCEDES-BENZ EQB 300 4MATIC
    - Honolulu, HI

I was driving my 2025 Mercedes EQB home after work August 11, 2026 and reached the end of my cul de sac, slowly turning left into my carport. As the front tires reached the sidewalk the car suddenly accelerated at extremely shocking high speed heading straight towards another car parked in there and the front wall. I slammed on the brakes and was fortunately able to stop the car right before it hit the wall and the other car. It was terrifying. Luckily I did not hit my dog who was outside at the time. There are tire skid marks on the carport concrete. I turned the car off and gathered myself then turned it back on, everything seemed normal and I reparked it so I could get out. Everyone inside had heard a loud noise/screeching. I am now too scared to drive the car. It is at Mercedes being checked out but so far they have found no issues. I definitely am not at fault, there were no loose shoes or floor mats etc.

Vehicle: 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB VIN: [XXX] MBUSA Case #: XXX NHTSA Recall #: 26V073000 Mercedes-Benz USA has mishandled recall 26V073000 (fire hazard) and left me without transportation. I was told the vehicle is unsafe to drive, which has caused significant anxiety, panic attacks, and ongoing stress because I have no safe way to commute or manage daily responsibilities. MBUSA repeatedly promised a loaner vehicle, but the dealership stated they were never contacted, had no instructions, and had no loaner available. MBUSA later said I could receive a rental car “upon eligible dealership,” but they did not specify which dealership, and after calling multiple Mercedes-Benz locations, all confirmed they had no information, no authorization, and no process for rental reimbursement or recall support. MBUSA has provided conflicting and misleading information, failed to coordinate with dealerships, and failed to provide transportation during a fire-hazard recall. This has caused loss of use, mental distress, and safety exposure. I request investigation into MBUSA for failure to properly administer recall 26V073000, failure to provide transportation during a safety recall, and misrepresentation of recall remedies. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Adaptive Cruise Control turns off and then won't reset while driving. When the Adaptive Cruise Control turns off and then won't reset while driving. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This causes the vehicle to immediately loose power. When traveling at highway speeds and vehicles are getting ready to pass us, then the cruise stops, we have been nearly rear ended multiple times on our last trip. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? This has been inspected but the service center couldn’t reproduce because it happens after several hours of driving. We had this problem several times while traveling from Denver Colorado to Pittsburg Kansas. If we stopped for fuel or food, and turned the vehicle off it would be fine on restart. If we were driving when it turned off we would have to follow another vehicle at a constant distance for more than 5 minutes to get the system to reset. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. This is also a safety issue because we were having to follow fairly close to a vehicle in front of us to get the system to reset. We also tried turning the system off every hour or so, use the “cancel” button while driving, but it didn’t seem to make a difference. The system continued to randomly turn itself off. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? We took the Sprinter in to a Mercedes-Benz dealer service center and they checked everything and said it was fine. Then we took it back a second time and asked if there was some sort of calibration or computer software update needed. They inspected the vehicle again and informed us everything was up to date. I do not feel that this issue was being taken seriously as it is very nerve racking when it happens and then trying to not get in an accident when traveling

  • 2024 MERCEDES-BENZ EQS 450+
    - Laurel Park, NC

At vehicle mileage 11,308 with original tires and traveling at highway speed of approximately 70 miles per hour on an interstate highway, the right rear tire suffered a catastrophic, sudden blowout. The loss of control placed the vehicle and its occupants in immediate danger of collision with surrounding highway traffic. The vehicle was towed to Mercedes-Benz of Hilton Head where both rear tires were found to have worn excessively on the inside of the tire due to excessive negative camber built into the factory suspension geometry. Ten days after the blowout, we presented the vehicle to Mercedes-Benz of Asheville for follow-up inspection. The service department informed us that the replacement tires installed at Hilton Head, while of the correct size, were “non-matching of front stock tire” in that they were not run-flat or noise-canceling and we purchased a second set of replacement tires at the factory-specified grade. The underlying cause of the original failure—the rear suspension geometry—was not examined, corrected, or documented at this visit. At vehicle mileage 16,502 and prior to a long-distance road trip, we specifically presented the vehicle to Mercedes-Benz of Asheville to request a dedicated safety inspection of the tires, wheel alignment, and brakes. The service department examined the vehicle and explicitly informed us that the alignment was good and the tires were safe for travel. Approximately 2,864 miles into travel following that clearance, the right rear passenger tire again suffered a catastrophic blowout. Both rear tires again were found to be excessively worn on the inside edge. The evidence is no longer circumstantial. The 2024 EQS 450+ is manufactured with rear wheels carrying a significant degree of intentional negative camber—the tops of the rear wheels are angled measurably inward at the factory.

  • 2026 MERCEDES-BENZ GLB 250
    - BOCA RATON, FL

Recently leased a 2026 Mercedes GLB250 in May 2026. Driving home on highway the tire popped and completely shredded rendering vehicle undriveable. No warning only to smell some smoke and then the warning light came on to say the tire was at 14psi and declining. I immediately pulled off highway and was shocked to see a completely shredded tired that exploded. I towed car to a dealership and then contacted Me3rcedes to which they were very unresponsive or concerned. It would take them 3 days to determine if they would pay for tire and would not reimburse me. I need my vehicle to work and they offered no accommodations.

Software issue: all screens go black without warning while driving. No access to speed, car temperature, a real safety issue. It’s like driving blind complete loss of controls. It was 98 degrees in Florida and suddenly the heater was blasting heat. My son, a passenger was unable to turn it off.

As of June of 2026 i witnessed my thermostat gauge going from cold to Hot in a back and forth motion. This rising in temperature on the thermostat gauge has happened during acceleration above 45mph, sitting idle with AC on, and while sitting idle after only about 10 mins of car being powered on and in motion. Because the vehicle is under warranty i believed parts would be replaced with new parts but as of today August 11th, 2026, the problem continues and has now been reaching the hot meter on the thermostat gauge. I have sent my car back to my dealer 3 times in a month in a half with the same issue happening repeatedly. Following the second repair period my car stopped unlocking on and off for the days following and now that has been upgraded to a recall issue which was not fixed or truly given any attention at all. This has put me in a hardship position and has not been attended to properly from the first repair. I have In real time recordings of this issue as evidence and am needing some assistance on this matter. I also have the invoices of both repairs which show that no repair was done to the actual affected areas of my vehicle instead they worked on parts that were not of concern.
