While my vehicle was having a mandatory safety recall performed on the brake booster, my brake line was damaged and now the dealership is asking for $7,000 to repair something caused by them and directly related to a safety recall. The car was in working condition prior to being brought to the dealership and now it is at the dealership and inoperable.

Brake line corrosion issues, related and reported along with the sub-frame assembly corrosion. After getting the sub-frame repaired XXX, corrosion and deformation of the tie rods and control arms caused vibration and noise at speed, and while cornering. Repaired XXX and vehicle inspection discovered no leaks in the corroded brake lines. After this repair, brake fluid warning light appeared. Very costly repair done at the MB dealership, in [XXX]. This is a common defective issue associated with the corrosion of the subframe, and should be attached to the subframe campaign, and reimbursed by the MFG. I am the owner of a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB that has been identified as being affected by the current high-voltage battery safety recall. I recently contacted my authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer regarding the recall and was informed that the recall is currently pending for my vehicle and that the permanent remedy is not expected to begin until approximately December. I understand that the interim safety guidance associated with this recall includes limiting charging to 80% and parking the vehicle outside and away from structures. I have a significant concern regarding the parking instruction. My vehicle is normally parked in an attached garage at my condominium. The garage is connected to my residence, and my HOA does not permit me to park the vehicle outside. Therefore, I do not have a practical way to comply with the instruction to park outside and away from structures. I specifically raised this issue with the service department. I was told verbally that I could continue parking the vehicle in my garage “at my discretion.”

The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-560 4Matic. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle while the brake pedal was depressed or while the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle lost automotive power. However, after several seconds, the vehicle suddenly regained automotive power. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for a routine oil change and brake service, and the contact made the dealer aware of the failure. The dealer stated that the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the dealer made the contact aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V216000 (Power Train). The contact was informed that the driveshaft needed to be replaced; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,023.

The contact owns a 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-350. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a failed crankshaft sensor. The contact stated that the crankshaft sensor was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the crank shaft sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic, and the crankshaft sensor was replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 152,000.

I would like to report 3 issues. One, happened yesterday, XXX. Driving on [XXX], in clear weather, no obstacles, no vehicles around, the vehicle engaged emergency breaking and pulled seatbelts as if there was an imminent crash. Second issue, the carpet behind rear doors is separating on both sides, preventing the rear doors from closing normally and it is catching the seatbelt prong. Third issue, the handles retract when children are trying to open the doors, catching their fingers while retracting and causing minor injuries. This vehicle was subject to NHTSA Recall Number 19V003 involving failure of rear wheel speed sensors. The recall was completed by a dealer in April 2022 at 70,466 miles. At just under 90,000 miles in August 2026 a failure was indicated for the right rear wheel speed sensor. Error code C003A indicated on OBD-II scanner. This failure triggered ABS, ASR/ABS and EPS warning lights for functions including antilock braking, traction control and stability control. This also triggered a check engine light and speed control was disabled. The owners manual indicates a risk of accident. Dealer and MB says there is no additional warranty or action for the wheel speed sensor that repeatedly fails.

UNKNOWN. I was vacuuming the car and it went dark. Then in the instrument cluster was a PRE-safe warning light, then a PRE-Safe functionality message. Then the car would not start or crank nothing. The car wakes up when I put the key in and after a few seconds goes dark. I saw a recall campaign number 22V-168 and 2022040003. Cannot get help. Vehicle is available for inspection but cannot drive it. I was not even driving the car it was parked. Trying to get manufacturer to check the recall same symptoms. no one has check on it. Tried to get VMI but cannot release to me since I purchased it in 2023. I get no open recalls, from manufacture. I got 6 from NHTSA and 2 from Customer Service recall and then 3 from a dealer. I have no info except I know this was a recall and want help with this please. I need transportation. I am concerned for my safety and if it was driving I wouldn't drive it to dangerous even more with the misinformation plus my safety and others. Thank you for your time.

The left side of the digital instrument cluster in my 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 intermittently goes completely blank while driving. When this occurs, I cannot see critical vehicle information, including my speed, fuel level, warning indicators, and other important vehicle functions. The failure happens randomly and without warning. Approximately two months ago, I took the vehicle to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership for this issue. The dealer stated that the problem was corrected with a software update; however, the instrument-cluster failure has now returned. This creates a serious safety concern because I may be unable to monitor my speed, determine how much fuel remains, or see urgent warnings and system alerts while operating the vehicle. I am concerned that this recurring malfunction could contribute to a crash or leave the vehicle occupants stranded. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether this is a widespread safety defect affecting the instrument clusters in these vehicles.

On 8/20/2026 I had a vacuum leak from the intake manifold and crankcase hoses repaired at a Vic's Bimmer Shop in the city of Lancaster California. This included the replacement of the oil separator breather on the engine. I drove my Mercedes Benz 2017 GLS450 less than 100 miles and the engine lost power and suddenly turned off. I was able to pull off onto the side of the freeway and then I saw smoke coming from under the hood and my wife and I exited the vehicle, called the fire department and the car burned completed on the side of the freeway and is a total loss. I believe the oil separator leaked oil onto the exhaust pipe and engine turbo which then started the fire.
