I received an Important Safety Recall notice (NHTSA Recall ID: 26V073) from Mercedes-Benz USA in March 2026 regarding my 2024 EQB (VIN: [XXX] ). The notice states that the high-voltage battery may fail due to an internal short circuit, potentially causing a vehicle fire while parked or driving. No incident has occurred. This complaint is filed because no remedy is available and no timeline has been provided by the manufacturer. Mercedes-Benz has advised owners to limit charging to 80% and to park outside while awaiting battery replacement parts. This interim guidance creates an additional hardship: my vehicle is garaged in ZIP code 98119 (Seattle, WA), where property crime is documented at over 50% above the national average. The manufacturer's guidance forces me to expose a $55,000+ vehicle to elevated theft and vandalism risk indefinitely, through no fault of my own. I am requesting NHTSA pressure Mercedes-Benz to accelerate parts availability and provide affected owners with a loaner vehicle or covered parking reimbursement until the remedy is performed. The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris. The contact received a notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V482000 (Tires); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted; however, the recall repairs were denied, and the contact was asked to take the vehicle back to the original dealer who sold the vehicle. The contact reached out to several other local dealers; however, the assistance was provided due to the vehicle having approximately 18inch rims. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue, but no assistance was provided. The contact had not experienced a failure.

I bought the vehicle with 104k miles. When hooked to a computer it shows 177k. The odometer was tampered with

driver seat belt. seat belt did not lock during crash with airbag deployment. problem has not been confirmed. police observed the belt not locked in either extended or retracted position after collision. burn marks on belt would indicate belt was in use

While driving in my neighborhood at 25 MPH, my Mercedes GLC300 suddenly lost power and the check engine light illuminated. My car would no longer exceed 25-30 MPH, but I drove it straight to the dealership and they said it was a faulty cylinder head and will cost $10,000 to fix! After intense negotiations, they agreed to fix it for $4,205.58, which was better, but still, that’s a lot to pay for a manufacturer’s defect! My car is a 2021 with only 67,540 miles on it.

My Mercedes GLE 580 experienced a complete failure of the 48V battery system due to the exact defect outlined in NHTSA Recall Campaign 24V207 (defective 48V ground connection causing high resistance and fire risk). The official status for my VIN shows 'Recall Incomplete.' The vehicle is currently at Mercedes-Benz of Barrington. The dealership is actively refusing to remedy this safety recall under warranty and is attempting to charge me $5,313 out of pocket for the battery replacement. Furthermore, the dealership refuses to submit the correct diagnostic error code (B183371) to my extended warranty provider to block coverage. My family has been left completely stranded without transportation for 7 days, and the manufacturer refuses to provide a loaner vehicle while the vehicle is unsafe to drive due to this fire hazard recall.

Safety Risk - Twice I was almost hit because my car didn't take off. O'REILLY Veri Scan Results - Free Emissions Status: Red Primary DTC: Mixture Formation (Cylinder 4) is irregular P219F: Fuel injectors measure and atomize fuel mixed with incoming air and sent to combustion chambers. Cylinder 4 PSI at 40 Mercedes Benz of San Juan $300 diagnostic Cylinder head needs to be replaced. Safety Risk - Twice I was almost hit because my car didn't take off. Problem has been confirmed by dealer. Not inspected by manufacturer, etc. Prior to failure there were no signs. Check Engine light came on and that is when it got checked at 55, 715 miles, soon after warranty ended.

The contact owns a 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed fuel odor in the interior and exterior of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not associated with a recall related to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

Rear glass window on convertible soft top is prematurely separating/delaminating from top assembly on 2020 Mercedes-Benz E350 convertible with under 8,000 miles. Glass is integrated into the convertible top and failure may lead to reduced rear visibility, possible glass detachment, water intrusion, and safety hazard while driving. This appears premature and inconsistent with expected vehicle life.

Upon starting engine while parked the engine vibrated roughly then stopped. Engine light and coolant light illuminated but shut off. Vehicle proceeded as normal, however, as I proceeded for the highway about 1 - 1/2 blocks and approximately 1,200 feet before approaching highway the vehicle 1200 abruptly lost acceleration; engine light and coolant light illuminated again, then engine abruptly shut down in the middle of the road causing a severe safety hazard. Putting myself and others at risk. There were no symptoms of the problems prior to the failure. Coolant leakage; sluggish engine/acceleration; jerking acceleration; coolant light illumination steady.
