I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding my 2010 E350 (VIN # [XXX] ). I have taken great pride in owning and maintaining this vehicle, and I want to share my concerns based on my recent experience. I have consistently kept this car well-maintained, following all recommended service schedules and ensuring that any necessary repairs were handled promptly. Up until now, I have not experienced any significant issues with the vehicle. It has been reliable, well cared for, and in excellent condition. Recently, when the brake line indicator came on, I immediately took the vehicle to a mechanic to have it inspected. I was informed that the brake fluid reservoir was empty and that there was a leak present. Upon further inspection, the mechanic identified that the leak was coming from the rear of the vehicle. It was then determined that the issue involved the rear brake line located near the gas tank. This is extremely concerning, not only because it directly impacts the safety of the vehicle, but also because, based on the research I have conducted, this appears to be a common issue with this particular model. Given that this is a critical safety component, it is troubling that such a failure would occur despite the vehicle being properly maintained. Based on what I have researched, I feel that I have a valid complaint. This does not seem to be the result of neglect or lack of care, but rather a potential defect or known issue associated with this vehicle. As an owner who has taken every step to properly maintain and care for this car, it is both frustrating and disappointing to now be dealing with such a serious problem. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed thoroughly and that an appropriate resolution be provided. I believe it is reasonable to expect accountability for an issue that appears to be both common and safety-related. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and a fair resolution. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

The back-up camara is stuck open on the trunk for more than 30 days now. When I put it in reverse the camara will show for about 5 seconds and then go back to the home screen. I brought this to the attention of my advisor and he said that its a known issue. If Mercedes knows this is an issue with the CLA250, they should offer a replacement instead of charging to fix a faulty component.

The P06DA00 code in Mercedes-Benz vehicles is a common issue involving the oil pump solenoid, often caused by a faulty wiring harness. If this is caused by faulty wiring harness then this should be a recall since it is common and happens to all vehicles like mine. I have been told that this needs to be a recall. Oil Pump Gear: Found faulty oil pump control valve present and requires replacement. Recommend replacement of engine oil pump control valve. The oil pump gear is attached to the oil pump shaft and used to spin the oil pump. The oil pump is used to circulate the engine through the engine.

The vehicle is subject to Safety Recall 26V073 (High-Voltage Battery Fire Risk). Since March 2023, at 6,177 miles, the vehicle has experienced recurring powertrain and battery malfunctions. Despite 11 total service visits and 8 specific attempts to repair the battery management system and powertrain modules, the defect remains unresolved. The vehicle currently displays sudden red dashboard warnings stating "Engine will not restart" and "Malfunction" while driving at highway speeds and on sideroads. These incidents cause a sudden loss of confidence in the vehicle's propulsion and power. According to the manufacturer’s recall chronology, these warnings indicate a potential internal battery short circuit, which could lead to a thermal event/fire. Safety is compromised as the vehicle may stall in high-speed traffic, and the manufacturer has directed that the vehicle be parked outside and away from structures due to fire risk. The manufacturer has admitted that previous software "remedies" were failed attempts and that a hardware remedy (battery replacement) is unavailable for at least 9 months (December 2026) . This leaves the driver (owner) in a dangerous, non-conforming vehicle for an unreasonable duration. All malfunctions have been confirmed by authorized dealership service centers (Invoices #685069 and #687727 are attached as references).

Vehicle shut down while driving on highway, repeated drive system malfunction, turtle mode. The vehicle has experienced a recurring, unresolved drivetrain malfunction — specifically, a drive system malfunction and battery malfunction causing the vehicle to enter severely reduced-power mode ("turtle mode") — that has persisted through a minimum of three (3) separate repair attempts across two authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships, totaling more than sixteen (16) calendar days out of service within approximately 47 days of the first failure. Most critically, on March 14, 2026, while driving on a public highway in Ontario, Canada, this defect caused the vehicle to shut down completely while in motion, forcing me to pull over on the highway shoulder. The vehicle would not restart for approximately one hour. This constitutes a serious and dangerous safety hazard.

    1. March 11th: First Incident was when crossing a railroad crossing in [XXX] ~2:00pm the car suddenly braked and seatbelts tightened very strongly and immediately stopped, Automatic braking was engaged. There was a car Behind me and barely was able to brake and avoid rear ending me. We took it to dealer in Fremont (mb of fremont) a service advisor checked the car and drove it for a while (Joe Defraeitas) they were not able to find any issue and sent us back. asking us to bring it back if it happens again. my speed was between 30-40mph. I don't remember if there was lights flashing warning or not. all I remember it suddenly halted and stopped and I was really scrared. 2. March 17th at a very close time to ~2:00PM at exactly same place this issue happened again, this time I was with my daughter [XXX] ) and same exact thing happened; luckily no cars were behind me at that time again, same as before speed 30-40mph and no warning lights that I remember. this time we took the car to service dealership on March 20th and they asked us to schedule an appoint and we did bring it back on march 26th. The RO# from mboffremont is XXX; again same advisor. they claimed they checked all the software and sensors and nothing wrong with the car. 3. Third incident on Apr 7th at ~12:00 on [XXX] [XXX] by the railroads crossing as well, luckily no cars were behind me and speed was 20-30mph this time is didn't do full stop. We reported it this time to MB dealership in Pleasanton, CA. This was the original dealership where we bought the car. again they claim nothing is wrong with the car. The service manager mentioned that will look inot this carefully, but unfortunately a service advisor called and said nothing is wrong with the car and they were not able to (Service Advisor is [XXX] ). The R&R rear subframe is showing premature corrosion that can cause structural failure. This can lead to rear suspension detachment, erratic driving behavior, and severe safety risks. This problem has been confirmed by the Mercedes Benz dealer. This has been inspected by the Mercedes Benz dealership. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior me finding out it was failing. I had a multi inspection performed on my car due to another issues and the MB service dept found it during that time. Which means if I had never had the multi inspection done due to another issue I was having with the car, I would not have known.
