2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLA 250- Danbury , CT
I own a 2022 Mercedes Benz GLA 250 2022. in [XXX], it was pouring rain and I was driving from [XXX] to attain [XXX] to drive home. It was pouring that night and driving conditions were horrible. I was in the middle lane driving roughly 55-65 mph. about 15 minutes into my drive a light on dash came " engine chip malfunction" and the car died. I couldn't do anything and I tried to coast to the shoulder as best as I could. Driving on [XXX] is dangerous enough, nevermind having an engine failure. I placed my emergency light on and coasted to the emergency shoulder to the right of me. The engine failed. I couldn't do anything. I turned off and called Mercedes of Danbury CT. I told that I was in trouble and explained what just had happened. I was in the car. The young said she never of something of the sort. I mentioned to her that I had an appoint to have the transmission fluid and I want them to look into this immediately. I waited on the shoulder for 15 minutes and turned the car back. The engine light failure was gone. I slowly merged into the right with my emergency lights and people actually moved over to let me back in. I had about 40 minute drive. The irony of that call with with danbury, they offered no assistance at that moment of despair. They had no idea how scared I was, not to mention the car dying gain. I was able to get home and pull into the garage. The car did not repeat that incident again. The next morning, I drove to work and back, no issues. that went on until I brought it in on 12/15 for a transmission fluid oil change. I spoke to the concierge at the dealer and repeated to them to look at the car for this engine chip malfunction. He told me not worry, all will be taken of. I called later that same and asked them about the vehicle and status (it was 3:15 in the afternoon, I dropped the car off at 7:30). I arrived at 5 and nothing was done. I waited another hour. Please attached. so much has happened. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (F

2024 MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER 2500- Corona, NY
Vehicle: 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 148,000 The vehicle is experiencing a serious safety-related defect where the starter motor remains engaged even after the engine is turned off. This results in the starter continuing to run and stay powered, which can cause severe mechanical damage, overheating, and presents a potential fire risk. The starter has already been replaced, but the issue persists, indicating the problem is within the vehicle’s electrical control system (such as wiring harness, relay, or control module). Additionally, I was informed that this same vehicle had a prior wire harness-related issue in 2024 under the previous owner, suggesting a recurring or unresolved electrical defect. This condition can lead to unexpected vehicle behavior and poses a safety hazard due to the risk of electrical failure or fire. The vehicle is currently at a Mercedes-Benz dealership for diagnosis, and a case has been opened with Mercedes-Benz USA under case #XXX. I am submitting this complaint to report a potential safety defect and request investigation. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2012 MERCEDES-BENZ E350- Egg Harbor Township, NJ
The brake lines on my car rusted out from the brake booster all of way to the rear calipers. This is the third time it’s happened to me as I’ve owned multiple E classes. If Mercedes-Benz covers the subframe, why is the brake lines which are located right above said subframe not covered?

2023 MERCEDES-BENZ EQB 250+- Hamilton, NJ
My vehicle contains a defective high-voltage lithium-ion battery that is subject to internal short circuits caused by deviations in the battery supplier's production process. According to NHTSA and Mercedes-Benz's own recall documentation, an internal short circuit in a battery cell can trigger a thermal event — that is, a vehicle fire — whether the vehicle is parked or being driven. Critically, NHTSA has specifically warned that there may be no external warning or dashboard indicator when the thermal event occurs while the vehicle is parked and shut o?. This defect is not theoretical. Mercedes-Benz first became aware of vehicle fires caused by this same battery defect through reports of confirmed fire incidents in other markets. NHTSA has formally acknowledged that the defective battery "may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving," increasing the risk of serious bodily injury or death. I am the parent of toddlers who reside in my household. My vehicle is regularly parked in proximity to my home and family. The risk of a sudden, unannounced vehicle fire — whether in my driveway, garage, or on the road — poses a direct, immediate, and unacceptable threat to the safety and lives of my young children. I cannot continue to operate or park this vehicle without placing my family in danger. Mercedes Benz is coercing me into getting a new Lease contract by using the defective battery as a leverage when in fact they need to take the car back and they are not

2023 MERCEDES-BENZ EQB 300 4MATIC- Tarzana, CA
The car is subject to a NHTSA recall 26V073. Mercedes has scheduled warranty repair for December 31, 2026, or more than 9 months from now. Our dealer advises that the scheduled date is just a holding date; there is no assurance that the repair will occur on or before that date. Mercedes has also said in writing that "the battery replacement remedy is not yet available" and that we should complain to NHTSA if Mercedes does not fix this problem in a reasonable time. In the meantime, we are instructed to park the car outside and not to charge it more than 80%. (We've programmed it not to charge over 80%.) Even still, we are at risk that the car will burst into flames, potentially while we are in it, possibly with our grandchildren in the back seat. The other solution Mercedes has is that we should lease a different model at three times the cost of our present lease, thereby shifting the cost of this warranty issue onto us.

2023 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC 300- Scottsdale, AZ
There are two issues 1) Unsure of the exact date, but about a year or two ago we were driving our car and the car's automatic break system went into effect on a typically busy, 3 lane road despite there not being any cars in front of our vehicle. We took it into the dealership, who confirmed the issue and told us that sometimes the automatic brake mis-identifies the metal plates in the roads to be vehicles. Had there been a car driving behind us at the time this was happening, it could have been a major accident as the speed limit on that road was 45mph. Additionally we had our [XXX] in the car. There were no warning lamps, messages or symptoms of the problem prior to failure. 2) Recently we have been having a warning sign on our car that says the 12v battery is low, even though it should not be. Historically this would tell us to drive our car around so the battery wouldn't die, but this would sometimes turn on even after a 30+ minute drive. It was turning on every single time we turned the car off, so we brought it into the shop. While in the shop, the dealer provided us with a brand new GLC 300. I took this GLC 300 to my son's daycare to drop him off and when I returned to the car I received an error message "48V battery service required" and could not turn on the vehicle. This brand new vehicle left me stranded. While I was safe at my son's daycare, this has caused me to have significant concerns around the safety and reliability of these GLC300s. We are planning on taking our 2023 GLC 300 on a 6 hour road trip with our [XXX] old and [XXX] old and I am very concerned about the car not starting if we stop for gas. What if we get stranded in a small city along the way? INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2013 MERCEDES-BENZ GLK250- Divide, CO
Driving home mid morning Thursday , March 5, 2026 on smooth paved rural road, 50MPH, sunny, temp was 40 degrees, no vehicles anywhere near us, our Panoramic Sunroof shattered on our 2013 Mercedes GLK 250. We heard a loud "BANG", but had no idea what it was. I slowed down, pulled over and while looking up, I noticed the sunroof had completely shattered and cracks were spreading as we sat watching it. I drove home short distance and parked the GLK in the garage. There are no visible signs of an impact to the glass exterior nor interior. To keep it from falling into the cab, I taped the inside and outside with clear packing tape. The vehicle is out of warranty and we don't have comp nor collision on it anymore due to it's age. While researching for glass replacements, I found that there are numerous Class Action Lawsuits for this issue. This is a very dangerous defect and safety issue as when the glass shattered, it was as loud as a shotgun blast and very unnerving. The vehicle is currently undriveable and unsafe.

2021 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GLC63- Canton, MI
This 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC 63 AMG has experienced repeated and escalating warranty defects involving engine performance, loss of acceleration, air suspension failure, and now inoperative advanced safety systems including blind spot and active brake assist. Despite numerous repair attempts at authorized dealerships, including extensive engine teardown and cylinder head replacement, the manufacturer has been unable to permanently repair the vehicle. The car has been out of service for 145 cumulative days to date and continues to exhibit safety-related failures. It is currently back at the dealership for service.
