The annual state safety inspection failed due to a severely rust corroded front Cross-Member. A corrosion hole developed right where the air conditioner condensate drain port is located right above it. Earlier manufacturing years of this same vehicle had a major recall for this exact same cause. Continued use without replacing the front Cross-Member could result in a loss of steering and a serious accident if lost at highway speeds.

,am writing regarding a severe safety issue at the [XXX] Mitsubishi location. Over a month ago, I brought my 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor in for an open federal safety recall regarding a fuel leak (NHTSA Recall 10V065000). I was sent away without a safe vehicle while parts were 'ordered.'Five days ago, the new service manager promised a callback the next day. I was ghosted. Today, I attempted to follow up on my parts status, and it appears the service desk has blocked my phone number. I am currently operating a vehicle that actively leaks raw gasoline at the pump in the Milwaukee area. This is a massive corporate liability. Since the first summer of ownership, a strong gasoline odor enters the passenger cabin. It is worst above roughly 100F ambient, a daily condition in southern [XXX], and is present while driving, while idling with the A/C on, and while the vehicle sits parked. The odor is strong enough that the vehicle cannot be parked in an attached garage in summer because fumes enter the house. A small child rides in this vehicle daily and breathes these vapors in an enclosed cabin. Repairs directed at this problem have been performed seven times since July 2023. The rear vent hose was rerouted. The fuel filler pipe was replaced under factory technical service bulletin TSB-25-17-001, fuel smell in cabin during idling, with the cause recorded as fuel smell from rear evap vent pipe positioning. The cabin filter was replaced and the A/C deodorized, the order stating the work was to help get rid of excess fuel smell from previous repair. A fuel line breather hose was ordered and later installed, the technician recording that the rear vent valve on the fuel filler neck was causing the smell in the cabin. A three-day inspection recorded no fuel smell below 90F but slight smell present after the vehicle sat in the sun at 98F. Most recently the fuel filler neck was replaced again under the bulletin with manufacturer authorization, the repair order stating CONFIRMED CONCERN, fuel smell coming from inside cabin when engine idling and A/C on. The odor was present again the same day that most recent repair was completed and it remains present now. The affected components are available for inspection. No warning lamps have appeared at any point. The manufacturer has an open customer case on this vehicle. Dealer inspections report no visible fuel leak, but the odor has never been eliminated after seven attempts over three years. The vehicle failed to stop. Emergency Braking failed and I was unable to manually depress the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The vehicle electronics have intermittently have failed, turning everything off in the vehicle including the instrument panel at different times.

The contact owns a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle unintendedly decreased speed. No warning lights illuminated. A dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that an unknown recall had been completed and closed. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000.

The warning went off that the system was not working while I was driving. The call was evaluated by a Mitsubishi Service Center. The Service Center said the Front Bracket for the radar was bent. The Service Center said there is no evidence of a collision to the front end of the car.

After pumping gas there is a strong smell of gasoline in the vehicle. This is a safety issue for anyone in the vehicle inhaling the fumes. It seems to get stronger when the vehicle is on (for instance at a stop light) the dealership acknowledge this was more common for the 2024 and 2025 models and only a service alert. Vehicle has been inspected by a service tech. No warning lights are on.

lower control arm broke due to recall #21v144 resulting in transmission cv axles lower control arms front steering components and drive train failure. emergency tow bill etc vihicle is at burdick mitsubishi in cicero ny and dealer says mitsubishi has denied as secondary damage as per recall. waiting on dealership for denial letter.

While attempting to park head-on into a parking stall, the car suddenly excellerated at high speed and hit a parking barrier head on. At no time prior to hitting the parking barrier did the drive touch the excellerator pedal. Although the entire front end of the vehicle was totalled into a "V" shape the air bags never deployed. Driver attempted to brake but it was too late, happened too fast. After the impact and with the brake pedal fully engaged the car was still moving. A passerby jumped into the passenger seat and was abel to put the car into park. Police were notified but no accident report was issued according to the responding officier becasue it happened on private property.

This is the issue I’m having with this vehicle since I purchased it July3,2026 car shuts off in middle of road and car also loss of power in middle of road while still trying to press gas then jerks backfire issue was reported to dealership. Brand new vehicle but keep having issues that’s not being reported
