Both the driver and passenger side seat sensors do not detect when a person is in the seat, causing the air bags to remain off when vehicle is occupied. This is a common issue with the 2013 Altima, but Nissan has not issued a recall to have the seat sensors repaired.

My vehicle Altima 2.5 S Nissan 2013, I only drove to work very only 67k miles but lately the gear shifter stuck every time I started, I had to stick a key or screw driver into the shrift lock to make it released it, very dangerous to drive with gear shifter stuck all the time... never happened to me with most cars I bought.. this gear shifter stuck supposed to recall back to fix it right for me, this is second car I purchased from Nissan.

My supplemental airbag light is on and I have not been in accident. I know that there was recall for passer side airbag light so I am wondering if there is something going on with driver side air bag.

While I was driving and had stopped at a red light. When the light turned green the vehicle wouldn’t move and instead shut down. It would power normally again, but when the car is shifted into drive, the car shuts down again. This is incredibly dangerous as my car was stopped in the middle of the road during rush hour. I was lucky to not have been hit. There were no warning signs. It happened very suddenly. I took my car to the dealership and they said my car needs a transmission replacement (car is a 2013 and 61k miles). I found out that there was a class action lawsuit that took place in 2020 for the very problem in the make, year and model of my car (CVTs in many 2013-2016 models). Nissan never recalled the transmissions but instead settled for an extended warranty which ended May 2020 for me. Now it is May 2021 and my transmission needs replacing. This problem is not only a part of the class action lawsuit that is already settled, but there are countless accounts of this problem still happening to people. Nissan is failing to take accountability for their faulty transmissions, which is a danger to the public. I’m am asking that NHTSA pressures Nissan to recall all CVTs and to reimburse people for their CVT repair costs.

MY HEADLIGHTS HAVE DETERIORATED TO A POINT NOW THAT DRIVING AT NIGHT IS DANGEROUS AS I CANNOT SEE BEYOND MY FOGLIGHTS (FIRST NOTED ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO). I HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERY, LIGHTBULBS AND HAVE CLEANED THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY COVERS. NOTHING IMPROVES VISIBILITY. I SUSPECT THE ASSEMBLIES HAVE TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE COATING IN THE REFLECTOR HOUSING DETERIORATING DUE TO MANUFACTORING DEFECT AS HAS BEEN MENTIONED BY MANY OTHER ALTIMA OWNERS.

THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HANDLE WILL NOT OPEN THE DOOR, I HEARD AND FELT A CRACK WHEN TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. YOU HAVE TO OPEN BY USING THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE. IF THIS CAR WAS TOO BE IN AN ACCIDENT THE PASSENGER COULD BECOME TRAPPED INSIDE. THIS HAPPEN WHILE PARKED.

SON WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE LOWER LINK ARM BROKE. THERE IS A RECALL ON THOSE IN BOTH CANADA AND US BUT THE DEALERSHIP, DARLINGS, WON'T FIX IT. MY SON COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED HAD HE BEEN DRIVING AT 60 MPH. NISSAN ISN'T STANDING BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND FIXING A MAJOR SAFETY DEFECT.

MY SON WAS DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND MADE A TURN ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE CONTROL ARM BROKE IN HALF. THE CAR WAS ALL OVER THE ROAD AND HE WAS ABLE TO MAKE A STOP ON THE SIDE. LUCKILY, HE DID NOT PASS A ONCOMING VEHICLE AT THE SAME TIME. WE HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO EDMUNDS NISSAN IN COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA. THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT I NEED A NEW CONTROL ARM AND THAT THE COST WAS APPROXIMATELY $1200. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND SAW SOME POSTS THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE FROM 2013 TO 2018 MODELS. I CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER ADVOCACY AND THE REP STATED THAT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ORDERED. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING THAT A PROBLEM HAS BEEN MADE AWARE AND THAT A MANUFACTURER WILL NOT GO TO THE NEXT STEPS TO FIX IT. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY SERIOUS IF NOT DEADLY ACCIDENT IF MY SON WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN THE CAR UNDER CONTROL. NISSAN DID ASSIGN A CASE NUMBER 43804399.

THE DIM HEADLAMPS OF MY 2013 ALTIMA HAVE PROGRESSIVELY DIMMED TO AN UNSAFE LEVEL THAT MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE DRIVING PATH AND SURROUNDING AREA. IN MY MANY YEARS OF DRIVING, THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST LIGHTING PROJECTED BY ANY OF MY VEHICLES. THE LIGHTING WAS GREAT WHEN PURCHASED USED IN 2016 BUT OVERTIME IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT AND ESPECIALLY DURING RAIN STORM EXCEPT WHEN LIGHTNING LIGHTS THE SKY.. SAFETY RECALL IS JUSTLY NEEDED, ARE WE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE FOR THIS TO HAPPEN?
