2022 NISSAN FRONTIER Complaints

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Frontier. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V457000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while parking the vehicle, the gear shifter was shifted to park(P) however, the vehicle rolled backward. The contact applied the parking brake to park the vehicle. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I purchased my 2022 Nissan Frontier on June 30, 2022. The driver's seat belt, as well as the passenger seat belts, have the fabric loop. In researching this issue, all the articles I have read indicate that the driver's seat belt should not have the loop. Is this something that is a safety issue?

The forward collision warning system has engaged multiple times for no reason. The occurrences have each happened during low light accompanied by a light fog at 35-40 MPH causing the vehicle to slow.

June 24, 2022 driving the vehicle at average speed 52-54 in highways when i pressed the brake it didnt respond, the automatic emergency braking did not activate or stop the vehicle. The air bag's also didn't were deployed, or engaged. The vehicle stop with the back section of the close vehicle in front. Thanks GOD, NOBODY WAS HURT PHYSICALLY.

The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, she exited the vehicle to place some items in the truck bed however, the vehicle started to rollaway at approximately 2 MPH. The contact stated that her husband jumped back into the vehicle and used the parking brake to stop the vehicle. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V457000 (Power Train). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 195.

While descending my steep (20% grade) driveway with the transmission in the manual mode and selected to 1st gear when the engine speed reached approx. 2500 rpm (15 mph) the transmission shifted out of gear, the check engine light illuminated, and "automatic transmission fault" appeared on the center display. Following this moving the selector lever to different gear selections did nothing except when placed in park. To get the transmission to respond requires turning the vehicle off and back on. Dealer has looked at the vehicle and did not find anything at this time. This has happened on multiple occasions, and could result in loss of control of the vehicle resulting in a crash.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was unable to be diagnosed but various parts were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the dealer informed him that there was a Technical Service Bulletins for the seat failure however, there was no fix for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The manufacturer referred the contact back to the dealer for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 100.

The vehicle also showed a system fault error with the traction control and Forward Collision Avoidance warning lights illuminated. The failure occurred at various speeds. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who was able to obtain a code from the vehicle regarding the failures; however, the contact was not made aware of the exact error or cause. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 3,200.

On June 29, 2022 My 2022 Nissan Frontier was parked drive in front of garage door. I arrived home for lunch and parked my cab farm tractor in yard under shade tree to keep cool while I was inside my home. When I came back to leave my tractor had Frontier truck sitting against front tire of my tractor, the truck had moved 25 yards for no reason. The truck had made slight contact with tractor bumper with tail light lense laying in yard, the trailer ball had also struck tractor tire and prevented hard impact. I went in garage and obtained key fob and found truck still in park. I tested truck and all functions were normal as they were 6 weeks ago when I purchased new. Key was not in truck and no one else had access in the 15 minutes I was inside. The parking brake was not used by wife when she parked, but it was in park. Mileage was 2550 . I someone had been standing between the two vehicles they could have been rolled over. I'm out over 500 bucks for tail light, I checked vin number, was advised no recalls. Wife is learning to use parking brake.

Occasionally the doors will not lock or u lock properly. On multiple occasions, when using they key fob to unlock the doors, you can hear them unlock, but the driver's side door will not. the other doors will be unlocked. I will sometimes have to lock/unlock multiple times or use they key to manually unlock. There have also been at least 2 occasions where the doors will be locked, but I was able to open a door, setting off the car alarm.
