2017 NISSAN ROGUE- vancouver, WA
In my 2017.5 Nissan Rouge, which I purchased brand new, I am experiencing a serious life-threatening issue. It has occurred five times in the last 3 months when I attempt to accelerate from a stopped position, pressing the gas pedal,It does not move until I press very hard. The engine lags and seems to be in 1st gear for about 15 min or so until I turn it off and restart it again to return to normal operation. The vehicle has a mileage of only 62000. I believe it to be a defective CVT transmission. Dealership had been informed and waiting for their response. will update once I get a response.

My vehicle is starting to jerk at times. Doesn't do it all the time, but it is bad. When driving it will jerk, and if the speed is 45 mph and you hold it at that speed the steering wheel will shake. The engine doesn't sound right. I have had it checked and it is the transmission. Yes there's is a recall on it. But since no lights have come on the Transmission can not be replaced. Something needs to be done before I am stranded some where. Don't know what the big deal is for you to fix it when you know there are problems with it.

While driving i started to notice my RPM increasing and my acceleration decreasing. I have stayed up to date and proactive on maintenance. at 110000 miles my transmission has started to have gear slips, My RPMs increase and my car will randomly lose the ability to accelerate at random times leaving me vulnerable to an accident car crash.

The liftgate has been malfunctioning. It will go up, and out of now where completely falls. It has fell on me and my 1 year old when I was getting something in the trunk and had to quickly throw my 1 year old into the trunk so he did not get injured, but it fell on my back. My car was taken to the dealership on [XXX] to confirm there is something mechanically wrong with the liftgate. There were no warning signs of the trunk just dropping. The Supplemental air bag warning light illuminated. I call dealership and they are willing to schedule an appointment and charge $225 for a diagnostic test. Depending on the issue, the solution/remedy may cost anywhere between $300 and $1000. In my situation, the supplemental air bag warning light remains on after approximately 7 seconds.

My emergency breaking system breaks on its own this has been happening since I got the car I went back to the dealership a few months later and they didn’t help me in the slightest I have been turning the breaking system off everyday for years and I shouldn’t have to do that I am paying a loan on a car that is going to kill me… I forgot to turn it off the other day and I stopped when I was going 60 MPH this is unsafe and unreasonable for Nissan to not assist me by either taking this out of the car, giving me a new car or reimbursing me. This car is going to kill me.

2017 NISSAN ROGUE- Rapid City, SD
Was driving on [XXX] from Sioux Falls, SD to Rapid City, SD on [XXX]. Just east of the [XXX], SD exit, we hit black ice driving approximately 75mph. We lost control, and the car went head first into a metal cable guard rail. The front end is destroyed, and the front doors and roof also received significant damage. I do believe that insurance is going to consider it a total loss based upon my observation and the response of the body shop it is currently at. None of the airbags deployed, even given the speed we were driving and the direct head on impact. The Trooper originally said that he was not going to ticket me for anything as I was driving under the speed limit and not overdriving, however, came back later and said that he would have to ticket me because the DOT would throw a fit if he didn't because they would have to fix the guard rail. The transmission would not go when the gas pedal was pressed. This happened at least 3 times since I’ve owned this vehicle. I was making a left hand turn crossing traffic and the vehicle would not go with oncoming cross traffic. This last time was a close call and my son was in the front passenger seat. Problem can not be reproduced on demand. It randomly happens and throws no codes or check engine light. The vehicle has only been inspected by the dealership and independent shop. No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to or after failure. After a few seconds of unresponsiveness the transmission will begin to work correctly again. By the time I get it to a shop nothing seems wrong with it.
