2023 NISSAN ROGUE- FRESH MEADOWS, NY
My engine has a recall. When i would start my car the engine would stop half way in son I went to the repair shop twice. One time they tell me, there's an active recall. The next time they tell me there isn't. Its a back and forth and then they tell me they are not going to replace it until nissan tells them its okay. They told me to file a claim with nissan which I did as per their instructions and the representative has be giving me no information for 2 weeks. Stating she will "keep trying and call me back" now they are telling me the engine doesnt need to be replaced but since October they were saying it does.

I was driving down the road when I heard a loud popping noise. When I got out to check I noticed my sunroof/moonroof was shattered. When traveling down the road there were no cars in front of me, no construction sites, and no over passes. The incident happened randomly. There were no problems with the sunroof prior to this. There was no impact.

Ever since I purchased my 2023 Nissan Rogue in December 2023, on long treks, the Intelligent Cruise Control will just randomly shut off while driving down the interstate going 70+ mph on a clear day with no bad weather while other cars are around. Meaning, the car will suddenly slow down without braking in traffic and say that the forward driving aids are disabled, potentially causing an accident. In March 2025 I finally decided I'd had enough of this unsafe situation and asked the dealership to fix it, and they tried but failed. I asked again recently in November, and the dealership tried but failed to resolve the issue, and it persists. I can drive the vehicle but need to avoid using all of the safety features I have paid for in my expensive vehicle or risk my life to use them.

While driving 40-50 mph, my vehicle abruptly dropped to a speed of below 20 mph without warning, scaring me to the point of nearly driving off the side of the road, almost getting rear-ended, and catapulting me forcefully toward my windshield. Simultaneously, this warning light and exact message appeared with a very loud alarm/chime - ?? Warning Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service Engine Now The initial occurrence happened on 07/03/2024 with my vehicle having only 10,208 miles. The same issue has occurred several times since. My vehicle has been inspected by the dealership/manufacturer where they have been unable to reproduce or replicate the problem. I have reported this to Nissan Consumer Affairs as well. The current recall on my vehicle that was announced in July 2025 associated with an engine bearing recall and its safety warnings correlate very closely with what I have experienced. This vehicle is unpredictable and unsafe to drive due to being no warning of the vehicle speed possibly dropping from a 70 mph highway speed down to 20 mph in a split second without warning. This is not only a danger to me and my passengers, but to the other potential vehicles and pedestrians around my vehicle. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request.
