In August 2024, the ABS Module on my 2015 RAM 1500 failed - the ABS and Brake lights are on full time. I have new brakes so the vehicle is safe to drive, but with the ABS module out, the cruise control does not work either. A new ABS module is impossible to find - dealers or independent shops cannot get one. Apparently, the part is on engineering hold. Reading various forums, this is a common and known Dodge failure with no foreseeable resolution. There are recalls and class action lawsuits, but not for my year / model. I can't get it fixed, I can't sell it with a known failed system and there is no timeline to resolve the problem. Not to mention the decreased safety with the ABS inoperative. This is completely unsatisfactory.

While driving there is intermittent loss of power steering during a turn where at times it will be hard then easy to turn. While at highway speed it causes issue with maintaining your lane and in town making short turns can be hard. There is no warning before it happens and it's completely random.

When turn the steering wheel feels like it doesnt want to turn and almost wont but then it will go back to normal buf then it will do it agian this happens 2 or 3 times during 1 turn. It happens in when turning in both directions but only on the turn on when wheel is turning back to stright. My safty and other drivers or pedestrians could be injured or be killed by this happing not being able to turn the truck where it is meant to be turned. I afraid that it is going to get worse and i may hit someone or something. There was no warning before, during, or after this happening had a OBD 2 tester hooked up to after it happened the 2 time and it showed nothing about anything relevant to this problem. The shop said that it could be a part failure or malfunction and quoted me $3500. I just bought the truck and knew i would have some problems to fix buying a used truck. But the motor and transmission were hood so i wasnt thi king there would be any really big expenses. Buf then this happened. I called the previous owner and asked if he had any problems similar to that and he said he did but only when it was cold after truck warmed up he wouldn’t notice it, but also said that he didn’t drive it much the last few months due to him having a new truck. He told me he first noticed it around September 2024.

Last week, On Thursday, [XXX], at 8 am, I dropped off my vehicle (VIN# [XXX] ) at the local Ram dealership in Houston for performing the recall issued three years ago, on Jun 09, 2022, Manufacturer Recall Number Z46 , NHTSA Recall Number22V-406 . I have been reading online that there are no parts available since the recall was issued in 2022 and I did not want to wait, as this truck is my work vehicle. In March of 2025, almost three years later, I figured that the parts availability issues would be solved by Stellantis/RAM. I was wrong. My local RAM dealer service department (Mac Haik RAM, 12111 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079) informed me today, a week after the vehicle was dropped off, that they are not able to complete the recall because parts are in backorder. In fact, Stellantis could not provide an ETA for the parts to complete this 3 year old recall. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Truck dashboard is showing warning/hazard lamps for Automatic Braking (ABS), Emergency Breaking, and trailer breaking. The cruise control is also not working. Error code C2200 is registered. I've taken it to a RAM dealer and Firestone. Both say that the ABS module (68228991AB) needs to be replaced, but parts are not available. This problem was initially identified May 2024. I call every month to see if the part are available and they say to call back next month. RAM Trucks (aka Stellantis) instructed all dealers and parts suppliers to return all new versions of the part.
