2015 RAM 1500 Complaints

The reason for the submission is regarding the unresolved safety recall, NHTSA Recall Number22V-406. Recall StatusRecall Incomplete, remedy not yet available Summary Some 2014-2020 MY Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine may have been built with a high pressure fuel pump ("HPFP") that could fail prematurely. A HPFP failure may introduce internally failed component debris into the fuel system potentially causing fuel starvation. Safety Risk Fuel starvation may result in an unexpected loss of motive power, which can cause a vehicle to crash without prior warning.

Total ABS system failure at about 58k miles. Dash lights came on and chimes ringing. Took it in to the dealer for service, replaced ABS module and HCU. I drove for a week and problem came up again. Dealer said that ABS module was bad but HCU was good. Truck has been sitting at dealer since June 2023. They said that no parts are available across the U.S. and that Chrysler is reengineering ABS module. Parts weren't going to be available until March 2024, now it's April 2024.

My Horn does not work and my computer controls for Mileage, Tire Pressure, Oil Change, Diagnostic Information for the on board computer system does not work. . In talking to several other Dodge Ram vehicle owners they are having the same issues. in looking up this issue on YOU TUBE is is a manufacture's wiring problem with faulty or improper design. I have checked all of my fuse and they are intact. I was advised that it is a CLOCK SPRING issue and it is about a $485 to $502 dollars. SAFETY ISSUE IF THE HORN DOES NOT WORK AND THE AIR BAG. Crankshift position sensor code PO366 was orginally fixed a couple years ago with a computer update. Now having the same issues hard to start and engine not firing correctly to safely merge with traffic. Been ran off road because it takes so long to get up to highway speeds. An independent service center has found the same issue. Not able to get into the dealer until after the new year. I was driving down the road and it just went sluggish then the warning light went on after I was on the side of the road.

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the repair was not covered under the recall.
