2024 TESLA MODEL Y- Arcadia, CA
The automatic rain-sensing wipers on my 2024 Tesla Model Y fail to activate during rain from delivery date, leaving the windshield uncleared and forcing manual activation. To be clear, this feature does not work at. This happens consistently and creates a significant safety hazard due to impaired visibility while driving. Tesla uses a camera-based system rather than a dedicated rain sensor, and despite service visits and software updates, the issue persists. I believe this presents an undue safety risk that should be investigated.

2024 TESLA MODEL Y- Milpitas, CA
The backup camera system is not available, no camera visibility on any of the cameras, no sensors detection, blinkers only lit for 2 seconds and after that they are turned off automatically. Vehicle is not safe to drive with the risk of system failure while driving.

2024 TESLA MODEL Y- Long Beach, CA
The contact owns a 2024 Model Y. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH with the Full Self-Driving features activated, the vehicle failed to stop at the intersection when the light was red. The vehicle continued to accelerate through the red light. The driver was ticketed by the Police for the infraction. Additionally, while using the Full Self-Driving feature, the vehicle attempted to turn while at a light with a red arrow. The driver depressed the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 22,251.

Vehicle hood latch censor . Around feb 25 2025 my car was parked in parking lot when i shift to d it showes hood latch need service i towed the car to service center . They replaced the censor by saying its a old bad censor . Now again my car parked in garage march 17 the same hood latch censor error . And it wont let you drive more than 15 mph . Even the hood is locked . If you check kn social media alot of people faced the same issue

2024 TESLA MODEL Y- San Marcos, CA
The vehicle comes with a software feature that automatically shifts the car into park "to prevent rollaway". It does it at random times when we are driving and has multiple times almost caused an accident because my vehicle will suddently stop when I am in the middle of a road or pulling out onto a busy road. The most recent incident was on March 11 2025, I was pulling out from a parking lot, taking a right onto a very busy road. The software unexpectedly shifted the vehicle to park, stopping it completely while I was halfway in the road, with other cars approaching me at 45-50mph. In a panic it was difficult to shift back into drive quickly, and nearly caused an accident that could have been fatal. I called the manufacturer and was uanble to get through to an agent, so I sent an email and have not yet received a response.

The steering wheel is locking up. First while parked and attempting to leave. It does eventually unlock and appears to not have what i would refer to as power steering. While driving it appears to not have power steering and the steering periodically locks up which i would immediately brake a have to repeatedly yank hard on wheel until it unlocks at this point as of the moment of this writing the steering wheel is completely locks up and cannot be yank out of lock at all. I have a video of some incidents happening. One heading into on coming traffic another of the car driving up on a snow bank ( if the bank was not there the car would have ended up in a ditch ). There are caution indicators on the screen but none say stop do not drive. The first caution or warning indicator says stability control disabled drive with caution. Next indicator states traction control disabled drive with caution. Next indicator steering assist reduced steering may require increased effort. I find myself very lucky that no real damage injury or death occurred it was that dangerous on my over an hour drive. When the steering locked up in the parking lot i did contact tesla and initially everything was fine but locked up again in parking lot. I contacted them a second time with the wheel unlocking at the but no one said dont drive nor did any indicators state that actually indicated i could drive but with caution. I believe that if i were on a busy highway things would have been much worse. I was lucky. There was no indication of a totally locked steering wheel in there diagnostics indicators also nothing stating do not drive. Actually quite the opposite. I can provide driving video upon request. There were other warning indicators i have some recorded. None of the indicators stated a totally locked steering steering wheel lock up and nothing indicating do not drive. I would welcome your agency to come inspect this. It is a total danger to society.

2024 TESLA MODEL Y- Cotton, MN
After update 2024.38.2 they introduced a "Active Curve Assist" which can't be disabled while using the cruise control. This has caused the car to excessively brake (70mph to 45mph), a couple times while a vehicle is following resulting in a near rear end collision and has created dangerous situations

Incident Details: Date & Time: [XXX] Driver: My spouse, Purpose of Trip: Personal (heading to a nearby soccer park) Location: [XXX] Weather & Road Conditions: Clear weather, dry roads, normal traffic conditions Driver Safety: The driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident Incident Description: My spouse was driving to the nearby soccer park with the vehicle in FSD mode. Upon approaching a railway crossing, the signal was green, indicating it was safe to proceed. However, instead of maintaining a controlled speed, the car suddenly accelerated while attempting to cross. Before my spouse could take control, the vehicle struck the boom barrier, which was either lowering or had already lowered at that moment. The incident happened so suddenly that she did not have enough time to react and override the system. Fortunately, no injuries occurred, but the vehicle sustained damage to the front bumper, windshield, and frame. The unexpected behavior of FSD at a railway crossing raises serious safety concerns regarding its decision-making. Safety Concerns: I have been a long-time appreciative user of FSD, but this incident has shaken my confidence in the system. I now fear using FSD. Given the serious nature of this incident, I request an urgent review and response regarding my concerns, as well as coverage for the necessary repairs. Request for Investigation & Cost Coverage: Access to Vehicle Logs: I request access to the vehicle's telemetry and camera recordings to determine why this happened. FSD System Review: Please investigate whether this was an FSD-related miscalculation and what corrective actions are necessary. Cost of Repairs: As this incident was caused by an unexpected FSD action, I request Tesla to cover the repair costs for the vehicle and any associated damages. The contact owns a 2024 Tesla Model Y. The contact stated that as he was driving forward at approximately 5 MPH after having stopped for a traffic signal his vehicle was crashed into the driver's right front fender by another vehicle. The contact stated the vehicle's front collision sensor did not detect the other vehicle. The contact stated that the driver's side front fender and the hood on his vehicle had to be replaced. The contact was not sure about the damage to the other vehicle, but there were no injuries. The police arrived on scene and wrote a report but he was not given the report number. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer and the body damage was repaired, however, the failure of the front collision avoidance sensor was not diagnosed. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The contact was driving at approximately 35 MPH at night when he crashed into the rear of a vehicle that was double parked on the street. The contact stated that the parked vehicle was in a poorly illuminated section of the street. The contact stated that his forward collision avoidance sensor had failed to engage and had not stopped his vehicle. The contact stated that the police were on the scene and had not issued a report. The contact had the vehicle towed to a local body shop, where the damage to the front bumper, grill, and headlights was repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Tesla Model Y. The contact stated while parking the vehicle in front of the garage at the residence, the contact removed her foot from the accelerator pedal and the vehicle accelerated independently and crashed into the garage door. The contact stated that the garage door was damaged. The contact called the Insurance company to report the failure and emailed pictures of the crash. No warning light was illuminated. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 13,133.
