    While operating my 2022 tesla model y, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic hardware failure of the onboard vehicle control computer. This total computer failure resulted in an immediate, sudden loss of electronic power steering assist while the vehicle was in motion. The steering wheel became incredibly stiff and heavy, creating a severe and hazarders driving situation. the vehicle was towed to a tesla service center, where technicians confirmed the onboard computer hardware requires a complete replacement. A vital computer failing prematurely on a 2022 vehicle presents an extreme safety risk of crash or injury due to sudden loss of vehicle control.

    The bushings on my vehicles front suspension completely failed at 47k miles and required replacement. The vehicle was under warranty and the manufacturer replaced them free of charge, but I'd heard that this component is being investigated. To be clear, the front lower lateral links and compliance arms all had to be replaced.

Service did a vehicle inspection and noted the following Concern: Upon Vehicle inspection, Found front suspension control arms worn and at a charge to me repaired with the below notes..     The car started having a lound clicking sound while making a right turn while I exit from my workplace garage. I started driving home and I was on the freeway and suddenly got an alert from the car saying I need a wheel alignment check. I drove slowly and arrived home. When I was making a turn on my drive way to the garage, I again heard a loud clunk and the car front side appears to be elevated and stopped moving. I went out and saw the left front driver's side looks weired and saw a large bolt on the driveway. I immeditely called my neighboor who is a car repair guy and he found out the suspesion is detached. I have attached the bolt that fell out of the suspension. My neighbor fixed but it was ultimately sent to Tesla for a full repair on March 23rd, 2026.

    I was driving at approximately 30-35 mph on a 30 mph residential road with my son in the front passenger seat. My vehicle unexpectedly collided with a parked, unoccupied car on the right side of the road, impact occurring between my front passenger side and the rear driver side of the parked vehicle. Following the initial collision, the vehicle continued past a small tree, mounted the sidewalk, and struck a second parked car before I was able to manually bring it to a stop 2–3 houses further down near an intersection. Throughout this sequence—with the vehicle traveling at ~35 mph—neither the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) activated nor did any airbags deploy. Fortunately, neither my son nor I sustained catastrophic injuries, though my chest struck the steering wheel during the impact, causing ongoing pain my and mental trauma for my son. I am currently receiving medical advise. Given the speed and sequence of impacts, it is terrifying that the vehicle’s primary safety systems failed to engage before, during, or after the collision. I am seeking a thorough technical investigation into why Automatic Emergency Braking and airbag deployment failed in this scenario with Tesla Model Y

The contact stated that while the vehicle was operating in the self-driving feature, the vehicle bumped into a shopping cart holder while attempting to park into a parking space, prompting the contact to take control of the vehicle. The rear bumper on the driver's side was impacted. No property damage was reported. The vehicle came to a complete stop upon impact. No air bag was deployed. There was no warning light illuminated. A Police report was not filed. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 32,074.

    FSD failed when on FSD to go to local Walmart, in Walmart parking lot while on FSD, vehicle was parking it self by backing up and it hit shopping cart rack. It failed to see physical shopping cart rack and stop and park. It could have hurt someone if someone was there, software and 3 cameras didn’t avoid the accident.

    I was backing out of my residential driveway when I suddenly noticed the steering wheel required much greater effort than normal, indicating a loss of power steering. There were no prior warning messages or symptoms before this event. As I began driving, multiple warnings appeared on the display, including “Steering Assist Reduced,” “Stability Control Disabled,” “Traction Control Disabled,” and “Vehicle Hold Unavailable.” The steering immediately became extremely heavy, making the vehicle difficult to maneuver safely. Because the failure occurred without warning, I did not feel it was safe to continue driving except to move the vehicle as necessary. The vehicle was subsequently inspected by a Tesla Service Center, which confirmed that the steering rack and Front Vehicle Controller required replacement. The repair was performed by Tesla after diagnosis. I am submitting this report because a sudden loss of steering assist without any prior warning presents a significant safety risk. Although this occurred while pulling out of my driveway, the same failure could occur while a driver is traveling at higher speeds or in traffic, where maintaining control of the vehicle could be much more difficult.

In practice, the vehicle suffers from safety-critical driver-assist defects—including unexpected disengagements and erratic system choices—due to fundamental HW3 processing and memory bandwidth limitations. Operating a vehicle marketed as autonomy-ready, but constrained by hardware incapable of handling complex traffic scenarios safely, forces constant manual intervention and creates an unacceptable collision hazard for a disabled driver.
