2017 TIFFIN ALLEGRO- St Augustine , FL
All rear and side marker lights stop functioning without notice. The FCCC Motorhome Chassis rear PDMs is at fault, again (reference NHTSA #20V-404 with at least 2 notices). FCCC provided a work around for PDMs that took care of potential loss of brake and turn signal lights that stop functioning. Unfortunately the marker lights potential issues has not been addressed. Marker lights that do not function correctly increase the risk of a crash after sunset (at nights).

2017 TIFFIN ALLEGRO BREEZE- Port Orchard, WA
Two issues, both resulting in derating to 5 mph on a busy freeway. The DEF sensor has had repeated failures, resulting in 7 generations of DEF sensors, all of which have had repeated failures. Without reprogramming by Cummins, a DEF simulator, or DEF sensor replacement, the engine derates to 5mph upon 2 restarts. This results in a dangerous driving situation unless the vehicle is towed. The second issue is a faulty wiring harness in all Cummins ISV 5.0 engines, used in Nissan Pickups, buses, and Tiffin Breeze motorhomes from 2017-2019. The wiring harness was designed with injector wires that were too short, which caused injectors to intermittently fail, causing the engine to derate on the fly, causing a dangerous driving situation. In June of 2022, Cummins issued a TSB regarding this but no recall was initiated. This issue with the wiring harness and injectors is now linked to the premature engine failure of hundreds of these engines, which results in an immediate stopping of the vehicle in potentially high traffic situations. Neither Cummins nor Tiffin are acknowledging this, or replacing engines unless in warranty. For Tiffin Breeze motorhomes, 3 of the 2017 engines have failed just after warranty expiration that I personally know of. This has occurred in as little as 20,000+ miles. Tiffin and Cummins should inspect all engines that have had documented harness/injector errors for potentially damaged/overheated crankshafts, as broken crankshafts have caused the engine failures.

/Users/karl/Desktop/Tiffin Dash Lights.df.pdf 12 Aug 2020 Ref VIN[XXX], Tiffin Motorhome 2017 Allegro 31 SA F225 Ford 228WB/22000GVWR 22.5TIRES or is it a F550? I see both F numbers in my documents. Subject: Instrument panel lights When driving this vehicle in good weather, sun or partly cloud day, I cannot see anything in the Instrument Cluster. This is quite difficult, dangerous, primarily as I cannot tell my speed much less the other instrument readings. I have the parking lights turned on and the Dimmer switch in the full upright position for maximum illumination. What can be done to correct this issue? In June 2021 at a milage of 10,630 the DEF sensor become faulty and warning lights came when on I-5 interstate, CA. A replacement sensor solve the issue but the new one also getting stuck causing the DEF level not reporting correctly. I am worry about the "Limp mode" if the sensor is not working causing a safety hazard. Either sensor needs to be more reliable or the enabling of the limp mode should be done under careful consideration giving enough time for the driver to get to safety.
