2021 TIFFIN ALLEGRO RED- Leeds, AL
The instrument panel located on the dash is a digital display. There are cracks forming making the view difficult to see air in the tanks or speed. This is built on a Freightliner chassis. I have seen other RV forums where this is a common problem. This cracking will continue to get worse making it difficult to see any instruments on the panel.

Built in TPMS system failing by year 3. Know Freightliner problem. Batteries also dead in TPMS by year 3. “Out of warranty”. Safety issue as tire related incidents one of the largest causes for accidents and death. Freightliner knows they have a bad system but refuses to provide customer service. Well known issue if you look at forums.

The Lippert/Shwintek slide systems this vehicle are inadequate. The bedroom slide hardware has been replaced in 2022 (under warranty) and is in need of replacement again. The Salon slide hardware has also been replaced one in 2023 and is showing signs of abnormal wear. Symptoms observed are failure to extend/retract, damaged rails, and slide pushing out while vehicle is in motion. The primary cause appears to be improper installation during the manufacturing process by Tiffin Motorhomes, Red Bay AL.

The Freightliner optiview instrument cluster dash display delamination is starting. All the vital information in order to be able to operate my Rv safely on the road is a concern. From knowing my speed to all the vital engine and tire conditions is a road hazard. I would hate to cause an accident due to this serious flaw with this part. Freightliner claims they are not going to replace the dash under warranty. I believe that a safety recall is justified.

The TPMS system has never worked consistently and is not reliable. Sometimes it will detect 2 or 3 wheels and sometimes only 1 or none. Freightliner should recall this Gen1 sensor as I've heard of this happening with numerous RV'ers

The contact owns a 2021 Tiffin Allegro RV built on a 2020 Ford F-53 Chassis. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle experienced an unexpected transmission downshift to first gear and the rear wheels locked up, causing the vehicle to skid. The contact immediately shifted into neutral(N), and the vehicle stopped skidding. The contact then shifted to drive(D) and continued driving. The contact stated that after the failure, the vehicle started making an abnormal sound while driving. The vehicle was taken to the Ford dealer, where the axle bearings were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to a second dealer, Hemborg Ford (1900 Hamner Ave, Norco, CA 92860), where it was determined that the rear third member needed to be replaced. The dealer was awaiting the part arrival. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to an unknown transmission recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 9,300.

2021 TIFFIN ALLEGRO OPEN ROAD- Huntington Beach, CA
Slide-out creep of drivers side slide room. Previous recall NHTSA #22V-273, which was “fixed” 7/1/2022-7/6/2022 per this recall. The slide-out creep returned in July 2023. Message sent to Tiffin Motorhomes with in response. Because of medical issues unable to follow up then, but noted numerous complaints on same issue of returning Slideout creep after supposed repair under recall. This is clearly a safety issue as slide may come out while traveling presenting a hazard to motorhome occupants and other vehicles. Also a hazard when it comes out while parked. The slide-out mechanism is manufactured by Lippert Industries.

Tiffin/Lippert issued a Recall for a hydraulic slide issue commonly referred to as "Slide Creep". The side of the RV (referred to as a slide) of this RV extends out via a hydraulic system, and the slide was "creeping" out a few inches randomly, including while the RV was moving. We followed the Recall process and had a repair made at a local repair shop. The bill was paid for by Tiffin/Lippert. The problem wasn't resolved and neither Tiffin nor Lippert has responded to any attempt to address the ongoing problem. I have my RV with a service shop now and they have diagnosed the Slide Creep issue to be a bad hydraulic pump (which was NOT the repair made under the Recall). Lippert is refusing to provide a replacement pump saying the pump failure is NOT related to the Recall. However, they continue to have no answer to the previous Recall not solving the slide creep problem. We understand from various Tiffin Owner groups that many Tiffin owners that were subject to the Recall have experienced the same issue as we have. This Recall was issued late summer 2021. Because of Recall parts availability the repair was not made until summer of 2022. The Slide Creep issue has continued since the repair was made with no resolution provided by either Tiffin or Lippert.

2021 TIFFIN ALLEGRO RED- Vine Grove, KY
The contact owns a 2021 Tiffin Allegro Red Motorhome. The contact stated while test driving the motorhome, he heard an abnormal noise while turning the steering wheel. The contact stated while fully turning to the left, the steering wheel seized. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact decided to purchase the motorhome regardless of experiencing the failure. The contact stated he continued to experience the failure. The contact took the motorhome to the local dealer and was referred to the Freightliner dealer. The motorhome was not repaired. The contact took the motorhome to the local dealer Kentucky Truck Sales (1403 Truckers Blvd, Jeffersonville, IN 47130:(812) 283-7172) where it was diagnosed with needing the power steering pump to be replaced. The motorhome was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The dealer Kentucky Truck Sales called the manufacturer and was informed it was a normal operation. The contact picked up the motorhome and took it to another dealer to have the water heater repaired. The motorhome was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,470.
