Notified of safety recall for this in August of 2023, to date, 10/10/2024, the fix has not been installed or available for my vehicle. Initially notified of a recall for the same issue on April 28th, 2023. I was under the impression this had been remedied during one of the services performed between April and August of 2023, with the dealer telling me the August 2023 recall was a different recall for the same part as the remedied part was recalled as well.

The vehicle's climate control system does not function as the instructions in the owners manual states. I have had it looked at by the dealer 3 times, once with a field technician, and filed a complaint with Toyota directly, all of which have been fruitless. In short, the fan speed function does not increase the output from the fan when increasing the fan speed at its switch. You can hear the fan speed increase, but no additional air comes out of vents if the vehicle is near the set temperature. In other words, you are not able to manually control the fan/blower. This has been replicated by the dealer each time, including the field tech. The response I have received has been both "it's functioning as designed" by the dealer, and "it's a known issue" from the Toyota field rep. Nothing has been done to resolve it nor update the owner's manual to indicate this is how the system is supposed to function.

The issue is with the auto-braking or pre collision system. Have had multiple instances where system has engaged at low speed which also engaged the auto engine stop feature when it was not necessary. Have noticed system engages on roads with curves where it thinks the vehicle in the other lane is in front of me when its not. The most unsafe thing that happened was when a vehicle quickly changed lanes in front of me and slowed slightly. I saw the other vehicle make the unsafe lane change and was covering the brake and when i pressed the brake it went out from under my foot braking hard on its own when it was not necessary. Vehicle slowed from 65 to about 35 quickly almost causing vehicle behind me to rear end me with no way to stop the system. Since i have owned this vehicle auto brake system has engaged about 5 times and all were not necessary or unsafe. I have lowered sensitivity setting and still have the issue, and am unable to disable system.

Catastrophic engine failure. I was driving home when the engine began knocking. Drove the last couple miles home and parked in my driveway. Engine running rough, and oil was dripping onto the ground under the engine. Toyota has evaluated and said it needs a new engine. Note - Toyota has a recall but is currently claiming my vehicle is not covered as it's just outside/newer than the covered trucks. As of today's date, 9/19/24, Toyota has had my vehicle since 7/17/24 and it's STILL not repaired.

My vehicle has cumulatively been at the dealership for almost 3 months. My family and I are under an assortment of insurmountable mental, and physical stress with the level of unsafe, unfit, and unreliable attempts to not only trust this vehicle to operate safely, but trust the service technicians to safely, and correctly diagnose the many unsafe issues with this vehicle. I have made several attempts in filing cases, complaints, and attempts of contact, to resolve these multiple issues with the manufacturer, and have had no such luck. Please, for the safety and daily life continuity of my family. Please help me resolve these issues with the manufacturer. Hello, Noticed the fuel gauge was reading full after retrieving boat after a day of fishing. Before launching the boat the gauge read 1/2. Filled up at the gas station with the needle on full and it took approximately 16 gallons. The Toyota dealer said they could find no problems and reset the gauge. Running out of gas could be a serious problem towing a boat. Thank you

I have been informed that my vehicle was affected by the recall involving the machining debris and therefore unsafe to drive. The dealership in Kendall Toyota, who is not normally my service dealer called me and after removing all my belongings and waiting for hours I was told my rental car was a Chevrolet Traverse, which I was unable to use for my business and was told I had to leave it with them indefinitely, and so I called my usual dealership in Hollywood, who informed me they would be able to help me out with a more appropriate rental vehicle the next day I advised the dealership at Kendall picked up my truck and went to Toyota of Hollywood only to be sent away stating that they did not have the remedy and we’re not able to help me. I have since followed up and every time I go in they tell me again only once I get there they don’t have the remedy and this is happened three times. I feel unsafe driving the vehicle and would very much like to have a safe and dependable vehicle to which I feel I am owed considering how much I paid for this truck . I feel like I am getting the runaround.
