2024 TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE R- Laurens, SC
The turn signals work the first time but if I try to signal a turn a second time within a relatively short time (roughly one or two minutes) there is an error message and none of the turn signals work at all. I can reset the error message with the enter button but the turn signals continue to not function for a few minutes. I took the motorcycle for service to the dealer that sold it to me (D2 Power Sports in Greer, South Carolina) and paid for diagnostics, but no solution was offered. I have also written to Triumph about this problem in a survey but have not gotten a response. I have sent a copy of the preceding complaint to Triumph Customer Service and expressed my willingness to assist in finding a solution, at their expense.

2022 TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER 1200 XC- Bartonville, TX
Since purchasing my 2022 Triumph Scrambler, it has exhibited excessive vibrations, which the dealer dismissed as "normal" at the time of purchase. However, these vibrations have directly led to multiple mechanical failures while I was riding, putting my safety at risk. The radiator has spontaneously cracked twice over 2.5 years while in operation, causing sudden coolant leaks that could lead to overheating, engine failure, or loss of control. The fuel tank mount bolt failed mid-ride, risking tank instability and a potential fuel leak or fire hazard. These failures appear to stem from a faulty front counterbalance, which causes constant, excessive vibration beyond what should be acceptable. Despite meticulous maintenance and no external damage, critical components continue to fail due to vibration stress. The vehicle and its failed components are available for inspection upon request. These spontaneous failures have already put me at risk while riding. A coolant leak at speed could result in tire slippage, overheating, or sudden mechanical failure, and a compromised fuel tank mount increases the risk of a fire or catastrophic failure. If this issue is not addressed, further failures could lead to serious injury or death. This issue has been confirmed by a different certified Triumph service center. The dealer where I purchased the bike dismissed the vibration as "normal," but another Triumph-certified service center verified that the excessive vibration is abnormal and is likely the cause of these failures. At this time, the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives have not inspected the vehicle or failed components. No warning lamps or error messages were displayed prior to the failures. However, excessive vibrations have been present since the vehicle was purchased. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this defect and require Triumph to address the excessive vibration before it leads to a fatal accident.

2024 TRIUMPH TIGER 850 SPORT- Nebo, NC
Good morning and thank you for providing an online form for issues with motor vehicles. The vehicle in question is a new motorcycle. I have found that I am often tailgated or followed closely by other motor vehicles on local roads and the interstate. I drive at, or near, the speed limit at these times. While no crashes have occurred, this problem has always occurred with this vehicle. I note that all the rear lights work (driving and brake lights). Yesterday I compared the speedometer reading against phone applications such as Waze, Apple Maps, and Google Maps. The speedometer reads 9-10 higher than the actual speed that I am going. This is the reason why traffic is often held up as I am driving far slower than indicated. I Googled this problem and found that many owners of this brand of motorcycle have the same issue and that the maker, Triumph, is aware of it and states that it is normal. This is unacceptable to me, hence my complaint. The importers of this motorcycle: Triumph Motorcycles America 1070 White St SW, Suite B Atlanta, GA 30310

2023 TRIUMPH TIGER 1200 GT EXPLORER- Boynton Beach, FL
Within the first 30 miles of new vehicle purchase the instrument panel gave an error message with a picture of a tire and then the engine suddenly quit at about 50 mph in heavy traffic. My safety was put at risk as I was in the middle lane on a motorcycle that the engine quit with traffic behind me. Fortunately the car to my right slowed and allowed me to cut in front of it as I rolled off the road at 20 mph. I returned the motorcycle to the authorized dealer the day of purchase. A few days later the dealer re-delivered the motorcycle to my residence with no paperwork and no notification that they did not fix it. For months after the purchase I tried to have Triumph and the Dealer fix the engine quitting problem or return the motorcycle with no success. The dealer again attempted to fix it on 8/27/2024 but again failed to fix it. After the bike was re-delivered on 8/27/2024, and the bike was moved the instrument panel displayed another error, “service due”, and within 13 miles the instrument panel again displayed a tire picture error, exactly like it did on 12-9-2023 before the engine suddenly quit. I stopped and checked the tire pressures and verified they were correct. Having an engine quit suddenly on a motorcycle in traffic is extremely dangerous. The problem is a circuit board or software, as shutting everything off and then re-starting, the engine starts normally and the error message is no longer displayed until later.

2024 TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER 400 X- Malgrat de Mar, IA
The motorcycle stops randomly, in motion, when downshifting and with the clutch depressed. The official Triumph Service Center has been visited without success in the repair. The software update did not fix the problem.

2024 TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER 400 X- Los Angeles, CA
On multiple occasions while slowing down, or coming off the line, with the clutch fully disengaged, the motorcycle has stalled. The RPMs drop to zero and it cuts out. Usually you can hear the engine sputter a bit before it cuts. I've tried adjusting the clutch free play and it's made no difference.

2024 TRIUMPH SPEED 400- Caldwell, TX
Coming to a stop the engine just quit, as if I turned the ignition switch off. The dash was also blank. I turned the switch to the off position and then back to the on position, and it started as normal. I have read about this same sort of thing happening to numerous other riders of this bike. Triumph needs to have a recall to fix the glitch in the ecu.

2016 TRIUMPH THRUXTON- Beaverton, OR
the front brakes are inconsistent when engaged. the first squeeze of the brakes are spongy and almost completely squeeze down and then subsequent braking with completely clamp in 1”. The problem does not go away even after bleeding the brakes. This has occurred since ownership of over 1 year. I only came across other owners with the same issue after a google search and there is an forum thread on the issue.
