    Heater core has clogged after replacement in less than 12 months. This is the 4th occurrence of this failure on this vehicle. Failure has the risk to overheat engine. VW Technical Service Bulletin has been modified multiple times, but still doesn't fully resolve the issue.

    The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen Passat. The contact stated that while stopped at a yield sign, the contact was rear-ended by another vehicle. The contact stated that the air bags partially deployed upon impact which resulted in the contact hitting her head on the steering wheel. The contact later went to the hospital where she was treated for whiplash and a concussion. A police report was filed. Due to the failure, the contact could not use any of the electrical features on the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that her air bag failure was linked to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V834000(Air Bags); however, once the recall was serviced, the contact was informed that the recall was related to the air bag inflator, not the actual air bag. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

    Employee name antoanete refused to assist in recall repair and loaner vehicle I asked for manager , new manager Andrew wasn’t even available I was promised a call back it didn’t happened . I made 5 calls and antoanete doesn’t help customers she doesn’t know anything and manager not available each time My issue is not resolved

    Unknown. I was driving down the interstate and car just lost power and wouldn’t get no gas. Got it to the side of the road and it wouldn’t crank back up. Took it to shop and the mechanic stated motor need to be replaced.

The vehicle was then taken the dealer and the contact was informed that a diagnostic test was needed to determine the cause of the failure, and the contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall.
