2012 YAMAHA FZ8- Lomita, CA
The contact owns a 2012 Yamaha FZ8. The contact stated while driving 60 mph, the charging system magnet detached from the motor causing the motorcycle to stall. The contact stated that there was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer nor an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

THE MOTORCYCLE WAS WOBBLY GOING DOWN A STRAIGHT, HARD TO TURN ALSO. FOUND OUT THE RELAY ARMS WERE BENT AND THE CONTROL ARM WERE BEING CHIPPED AT FROM THE BENT RELAY ARMS. DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHERE AND WHEN IT HAPPENED BUT THE MOTORCYCLE RODE WEIRD ON SEPT 11. THIS IS FROM NORMAL RIDING TO AND FROM WORK. IF THIS IS NOT A MANUFACTURE DEFECT, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. *TR
