Ford Motor Company is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford Taurus

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford Taurus, Lincoln MKS, and 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles manufactured on July 24, 2015. During vehicle production, the fuel tank attachment bolts may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the fuel tank straps may fracture and the fuel tank could separate from the vehicle.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 203 units affected.

Description:: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford Taurus, Lincoln MKS, and 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles manufactured on July 24, 2015. During vehicle production, the fuel tank attachment bolts may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the fuel tank straps may fracture and the fuel tank could separate from the vehicle.
Consequeces:: If the fuel tank separates from the vehicle, a fuel leak may occur, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will tighten the fuel tank attachment bolts, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on October 19, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15S26.

2015 LINCOLN MKS Complaints
LINCOLN IS CURRENTLY RECALLING 2015 CARS FOR REAR CAMERA FAILURES. MINE FAILED ON [XXX]. I AM [XXX] AND USE THE CAMERA FOR BACKING UP AND PARKING. MY MODEL IS NOT IN THE RECALL. I HAD THE REPAIRS DONE AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR $857.00! ON THE REPAIR ORDER IT STATES; "CUSTOMER STATES THAT REAR CAMERA IS UPSIDE DOWN AND HAS NO COLOR AND SCREEN WILL GO BLACK." THIS IS EXACTLY THE REASON FOR THE RECALL #25V695. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY 2015 MKS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL , AND WOULD LIKE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPAIRS. 2016 FORD EXPLORER Complaints
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Explorer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V347000 (Structure); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle and the contact were informed that the B-pillar trim needed to be replaced. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available and that only half of the B-pillar trim could be replaced. The dealer stated that the remaining part needed to be provided by the manufacturer. The dealer informed the contact that parts might to available April of 2027. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure.;
