BRIDGESTONE ECOPIA EP422 PLUS TIRES- RALEIGH, NC
P20565R16 all four tires. These tires from Bridgestone have a UTQG rating of 640 A A with a "warranty" by the manufacture of 75,000 miles. The current set of tires on my car have approximately 18,000 miles and are very worn. The tire wear gauge reads 5/32 reaming tread. I doubt that the next 3/32 (5/32 - 2/32) will give me the remaining 57,000 miles. I buy my tires based on the UTQG rating. It's a good indicator of tire wear and has been fairly reliable up to this point. I Googled the tire to see if others have similar experience. The answer was YES. It appears that Bridgestone has a problem with tire wear on these tires. Reviews all pointed to terrible tire wear. Sadly, My wife's car had Firestone tires that we just replaced. Those had only 22,000 miles, but had a 600 UTQG rating. It appears that Firestone /Bridgestone do not know how tear wear works. First time in my life I was this disappointed in a tire company, but Firestone certainly had it's share of problems in the past. Someone needs to do an evaluation of Firestone tire rating practice. For me, it's too late. Thanks.

225 55/R19. New 2024 Toyota Venza (purchased XXX) with under 4k miles when tire blew out. Was driving the speed of traffic eastbound on [XXX] near [XXX] merge just east of Des Moines in heavy, heavy semi traffic when tire went flat. I had been driving for several hours since my previous stop and was in the far left lane when noise a loss of control made me pull off the road. I have pictures & a video that appears to show a tire defect. Neither Toyota and Bridgestone paid for my replacement tire, nor admit to a defective tire. I am concerned my other factory installed tires are also defective, and neither company are interested in my pics/video. Since I already purchased a replacement tire, they have no interest in my concerns. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

BRIDGESTONE ECOPIA EP422 PLUS TIRES- Riverside, CA
The vehicle was proceeding on the freeway when the drivers side rear tire blew out and went completely flat. The low pressure tire warning system that alerted us never indicated that the air pressure was low or getting low, but rather it had instantly dropped to 0 PSI. There was no integrity left to the tire which posed an extreme safety hazard to the stability of the vehicle. Upon contacting Bridgestone I was asked to have a third party company inspect the tire to which we complied. The inspection revealed that the tire had suffered a failure due to a manufacturing defect and not wear/tear or accidental damage. The tires equipped on the vehicle are approximately one year old with less than 3,800 miles on them. Bridgestone is refusing to honor a replacement due to their defect unless I purchase an extended warranty for all 4 tires. Tire Size: 215 / 55 R 17
