  • GOODYEAR WRANGLER ALL TERRAIN ADVENTURE TIRES
    - Gilbert, AZ

LT275/70R18 E While driving west on I10 near Thermal California, the rear driver side tire lost 100% of its thread at a 65 MPH speed. When the thread separated from the tire it damaged fender area of the truck extensively and caused a violent throw and shake of the rear of the truck. The interesting fact is that even after losing 100% of the thread he tire steel belts exposed the tire stayed inflated at 80PSI. This fact is know because I was actively monitoring TPMS tire pressure while safely pulling over. The tries were inspected and pressure levels were checked prior taking off for the trip to Thermal CA to pick up the family 5th wheel camper. These tires supposed to have a thread life of 60,000 miles, mine had reached 32000 miles. At this point there is a huge concern and low confidence in Goodyear brand tire and this may happen to the other tires on my truck and may happen under the load of the 35 foot family RV. No one was injured, and no one reproduced this problem and the manufacturer hasn't yet inspected the tire. As it was stated there was zero warning from TPMs system prior to the failure.

  • GOODYEAR ADVENTURE ALL TERRAIN M&S TIRES
    - Colorado Springs, CO

Good Year Adventure All terrain M&S LT 275/70R18 load range E DOT [XXX] these tires came on my brand new 2022 Ford F250 bought at a Ford dealership in Colorado Springs February 2023 I drove it off the lot with only 67 miles on it. The truck as been driven 99% of time on paved roads with a unpaved county road here an there. The problem I am having is with all four mounted tires on the truck I noticed at approximately 9,000 miles the tread was peeling/chunking looking very rough & wearing fast for being so new. On October 16, 2023 took truck into dealer where I bought it at with 9,556 miles after returning from my trip they agreed it was unusual looking passed it off for me to contact Good Year which they looked at and said same but not willing to do full replacement of tires. Ford will not replace tires under warranty because "wear is consistent with driving on gravel or unpaved roads" Is that not what all terrain tires are made for? With me driving so little on unpaved roads I really think there most be a problem with the tire compound in this set of tires. After moving truck parked on concrete there are shreds/little pieces of rubber off of the tires that cannot be normal. The tires were rotated as recommend at the dealership at 5,553 miles. The vehicle was taken into the Ford dealership on 18 October 2023 dealers kicked it over to Goodyear manufacture called and had a tire inspection done at a local Goodyear dealer they agreed there was a problem with the tire but are not wanting to fully replace the tires.

  • GOODYEAR EAGLE TOURING TIRES
    - SNELLVILLE, GA

The Passenger rear tire burst automatically today around 8 AM morning. Unsure if this automatic burst is part of any recall or not but it was a scary burst with big noise with no warnings of low air pressure. A lot of time was wasted today and spent money to fix a new tire.

  • GOODYEAR WRANGLER TRAILRUNNER AT TIRES
    - Albany, GA

Tire size LT275 65 R20. Driving on Interstate Sunday September 24, 2023 the driver's side back tire blew out causing damage to the rim and side panel of the truck and bumper. We were pulling a 35 foot fifth wheel. We were able to successfully pull over to shoulder but had to wait over an hour for help. The blow out did do some damage to the fifth wheel also. Felt very unsafe until Georgia Champs arrived behind our camper. Our truck had about 16,000 miles on it and the tires. Last October the passenger side rear went flat (12,000 miles on the tires) and were able to pull over before a blowout. There we were stuck for about 3 hours on an interstate and had to change the tire ourselves because couldn't get someone out and felt unsafe waiting any longer. Both tires were on rear of truck and the blowout left over $6000 damage according to the estimate not including damage to the RV.We had no warning alert on the truck and a Goodyear salesman said the tires were not defective. But, we did not run over any apparent road hazard. We felt unsafe and were lucky the blowout didn't cause us to lose control of the truck or RV. Seems hard to believe this can happen twice in less than a year with pretty new tires. We always inspect the tires and make sure the tires are properly inflated according to the truck specifications.
