I’ve now had 2 tire sidewalls blow out in 1 month. They are both 215/45/17 sized tires

Tires are cracking and I had to patch 3 diff tires since I purchased this 2022 Tacoma

GOODYEAR TIRE, 255/40R20 101W XL I have had to replace 5 tires on my Tesla in 13 months. 3 were from nails, one was from running over a pothole and one was flat from an unknown cause. I have been told by multiple people in the car maintenance field that the tires are not appropriate for the weight of the vehicle therefore are far more prone to imbedded nails and other spontaneous road hazards. I only do basic city driving and avoid industrial/construction zones when able. Also, 2 out of the 5 times I have had a tire with low pressure, the vehicle has indicated the wrong tire. For example, the most recent incident showed my tire pressure at 23 in the front driverside tire, when checked manually the pressure was reading 45 psi in that tire. Went to Tesla and they confirmed the sensor needed to be replaced and made an appointment to have that fixed in 2 weeks when they were available. I continued to drive the vehicle since I was told it “was just a sensor”. The next day, the passenger rear tire was flat but indicated appropriate pressure for that tire on car’s reading. I was horrified that I continued to drive on a low tire for an entire day and did not know because the car was indicating the wrong tire was low in pressure. This could’ve resulted in a blow out or other threat to my safety. Supposedly my sensors have been replaced when I have asked for them to be but the sensors reading the wrong tire pressures is a chronic issue. Tesla is aware the tires are prone to flats, which is why they will not sell you tire coverage. I feel unsafe in this vehicle.

The outside tread separated without a drop in air pressure or without any warning, other than a wobble before the tire blew out. This occurred at 65 mph (posted speed limit) on a busy interstate. I was only able to avoid a wreck because I was traveling in the right lane and was able to immediately pull off the side of the road. The tire destroyed my inner wheel well and outer trim, causing over $1,400 damage. The tread flew into the left lane and was run over by every vehicle traveling in the left lane. I turned the tire in to the General Manager at the Williamsburg Goodyear Store, [XXX] . He gave me the number to call for Goodyear claims. I called the number twice during business hours 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm CST only to reach a voicemail that said they were on their lunch break. The voicemail did not give an option to leave a message. I reported this the next day via email to [XXX] . He said he would give Goodyear Claims my telephone number and email address and they would get back to me. I have not heard back from Goodyear. My insurance company has photos of the damage and paid $1,200 for the damage and I paid $200 for my co-pay to have my truck repaired. I have photos of the tire and damage that I can provide. Because I have zero faith in a tire that blew without warning with 41,800 miles on a 55,000 thread wear warranty, I purchased 4 new tires from another manufacturer. [XXX] said this tire was discontinued and wasn't available to replace the blown tire even if I wanted to replace it. Reported tire loses pressure. Possible danger. Checked regularly. Tire checked by Goodyear dealer, no leak found. Tire DOES lose pressure. Other 3 tires appear uneffected.

On March 30, 2023 I had my winter tires and wheels changed out for my summer tires and wheels Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 in sizes 265/35ZR21 101Y XLand 305/30ZR21 104Y XL. At the time, I had about 25,000 miles on the car, and perhaps 15,000 miles on the summer tires. The tire inspection report from Porsche indicated that I had acceptable tread depth on all tires, and no unusual treadwear. Around the end of June I started seeing a very slow pressure decrease in my left rear tire, from about 41psi to 38 psi over a few weeks. On July 18, I experienced a severe drop in pressure to 22 psi and I filled the tire with air to 45psi and used the tire sealant to drive the car to the Porsche dealer, and arrived with 29psi. At no point during the time I had the summer tires on did I ever do anything unusual, or hit any road hazards. Porsche provided me the attached video showing severe cracking between the sidewall and tread around the entire diameter of the drivers side rear, and cracking around part of the diameter of the passenger rear. They claimed this was due to 'misalignment' of the rear tires. The alignment report (attached) shows the drivers rear was within specification, and the passenger rear was 0.2 degrees out of camber (-1.8 deg vs spec of -1.6 deg). There was still 4mm of tread on the tire, and no unusual tread wear was noted on any tires. I have replaced all 4 tires, and am very concerned that the same thing may happen, and I could have a catastrophic failure at high speed. Porsche is unwilling to do anything other than pay for the drivers tire. I don't see how I can be assured that the exact same thing won't happen in the future, since there was no testing or observation that Porsche did that indicated any kind of problem.

Goodyear tires 275/65R18 used on an F150 are experiencing near tread separation on the passenger rear side and the beginning of tread rips/tears on drivers rear side in similar locations. Manufacture week and year 1819. These tires have gone through periodic rotation as well. Noticed a shimmy while driving and upon inspection saw the tear/ripe at the tread interface with the sidewall. Tires are nearing the end of life and close to being replaced anyway however given the potential defect potential and safety hazard I am reporting. I personally don’t feel this should be occurring even given the near end of life condition and what appears to be the start of dry rot. Pictures provide 3 photos of the torn passenger side and 3 photos of the rear drivers side showing the beginnings of rips on multiple locations.

The contact owns a 2016 Acura TLX equipped with Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: Eagle LS2, Tire Size: 225/55/R17, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the low tire pressure warning light illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving to her destination. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, and the contact was informed that the tire was punctured. Additionally, all four tires were dry-rotted and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The tire manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 145,690.

LT245/75R16 The fist tire failure was rear driver's side which caused a code service stable trac- this caused the vehicle to lose power and engine to die. I made home at 20mph in yraffic.I spent $500 for diagnostic check and new tire. The tire is misshapen and alerts sensor that caused engine to lose power and ultimately die. With new tire the problem was solved. But then the rear passenger tire while on the freeway acted up and caused the van to shake and rattle violently. Drove home at lower speed . I replace that tire with the spare which is a different brand and the van ran fine. Checked the bad tire and it is higher on one side than the other. Checked front tires and there are flat spots and irregularities on both tires

The contact owns a 1990 Ford Thunderbird equipped with Goodyear Tire, Tire Line: Viva 3 A/S, Tire Size: 250/70/R15, DOT Number: PJ34KB1R0219. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, she became aware that the rear driver’s side tire was shaking abnormally. The contact took the vehicle to the Walmart where the tires were purchased and was informed that there were blisters on each tire and the tires needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 151,000.
