Issue was with the boat trailer tire for VIN 405119BA2LC000663. Goodyear Marathon, ST205/75R14, DOT [XXX], 8/32 tread remaining. Steel belt failure. Tires pressure was set to 40 psi before trip. Failure occurred after 45 minutes on the highway traveling at 65 mph. Felt a bad vibration, then loud bang when air came out of tire. This tire is only 8 years old. I replace them at 10 years. The contact owns a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 equipped with Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: Eagle Sport All Season, Tire Size: 255/45/R20, DOT Number: NE12JU1R1021. The contact stated that within a year of purchasing the vehicle brand new, he noticed that there was significant amount of rubber coming off the outer side of the front passenger's side tire. The contact stated that the failure was moderate on the front driver's side tire. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the front driver's side tire was replaced twice due to the failure. Additionally, the front passenger's side tire was replaced three times; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that upon investigating the failure online, he learned that the steering knuckle might be damaging the tires. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle and the tire failure mileage were approximately 6,000.

Tires lt275/65r20 is the size. I purchased my truck Oct 2023. The day after i got home. I noticed a bulge in the sidewall of the front tire. I took it to the dealer the next day and they replaced it. But not after they accused me of hitting something. Luckily i had the picture the salesman had sent prior to me purchasing the truck and it was visible there. So a few weeks noticed 2 tires had same problem. Dealer again tried to say it was caused by an impact. They would not replace. so i called goodyear who had no problem replacing them at Belle tire. This past sunday, same tires that were replaced had a bulging in the side walls again! Belle tire replaced AGAIN under goodyear warranty but with 2 different good year tires. So I don't know if this is a good year defect or wrong tire being sold for these large trucks. The safety of my family is important to me, and these tires problems are scary. I purchased this truck from Hubler Chevrolet in Indianapolis.

Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure, LT265/70R18. On [XXX] at 113806 miles, I discovered that the driver's side front tire on the vehicle was flat in my driveway. Investigation revealed a puncture in the tread of the tire, caused by a gravel stone still lodged in the tire. Based on the amount of protrusion of the stone and the lack of any visible wear on it, I concluded that the stone must have originated in my gravel driveway when returning home the night before. The tire had been installed on 6/20/2023 at 104513.5 miles, being in service for 1 year and 9293 miles, not even 20% into its expected life. Initial assessment of the damage to the tire, including the puncture size and longitudinal shape, suggests that repair will not be feasible and the tire will require replacement. While a flat tire due to foreign objects is commonplace, the safety concern here is that a simple small stone from a gravel driveway should not have been able to cause the failure of a 'Kevlar reinforced' all-terrain truck tire. I believe the materials or construction of these tires may be defective and may have insufficient tensile strength in the tread material, causing them to yield and fail at much lower forces than are to be expected from tires in highway use. At any rate a well-packed gravel driveway that has been in use for many years should not be a challenge to the safety and performance of a truck tire rated for highway use. This tire failure comes less than a month and 1000 miles after a more dramatic and catastrophic failure of another tire of the same model on the same vehicle. While coincidence cannot be ruled out, two failures of the same model tire, both related to weak or defective tread sections, points to possible defects that should be investigated. Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure, LT275/70R18 Tire installed new on [XXX] at 79892 miles. Tires were properly maintained including proper inflation and rotated. On [XXX] at 112745 miles the driver side rear tire suffered a sudden and catastrophic tread separation failure. At the time of failure, tire had been in service for 33 months and 32,853 miles, and had significant tread life remaining. Vehicle was travelling at approximately 55 mph on an asphalt highway on a hot, dry day. The separated tread damaged the rear body panel and severed the body structural support member in half. The vehicle was brought to a controlled stop, the separated tread was retrieved from the roadway, and the spare tire was installed. The tire was replaced the following day. Given that the tire was only about 50-60% into its usable life and well within the 50,000 mile warranty, this failure was unexpected. Goodyear has not provided any method to contact them directly and instead referred me to local retailers who have been unable to process the warranty claim. A second, much newer tire of the same model on the same vehicle failed in a different manner just 3 weeks and 1000 miles later, causing me concern of structural or material defects with these tires. The contact owns a 2011 Ram 1500 equipped with Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: Wrangler AT Adventure, Tire Size: 265/70/R17, DOT Number: PL1YJC1R0219. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the TPMS warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the tires were diagnosed with tread separation. The contact was informed that all 4 tires needed to be replaced. The tires were replacement tires. The tires were not replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was approximately 15,000. The vehicle failure mileage was unknown.

Goodyear Wranger At Trailrunner 275 65R20. I was heading home with my 14 year old daughter Sunday night. When I was merging on the on ramp to the highway and I felt a vibration. So I was in the process of slowing down and boom. My truck went broadside in the highway. I gathered it up and got all together. I don’t have a single dash light on or anything. The tire was still holding air. A matter of fact it still is. But when the tread came off it destroyed my bedside and bumper. My truck only has 32,473 miles on it. The tires are rated for 55,000. I just want something to happen to the manufacturer. If that would’ve happened to the right front it would’ve been bad. Or if it happened to a mom and kids. This is not good.

GOODYEAR WRANGLER LT275/65R20 LOAD E TREAD ON PASSENGER REAR TIRE PEELED OFF AND CAUSED DAMAGE TO VEHICLE AND THE TRAVEL TRAILER BEING TOWED.

I installed four new Goodyear ElectricDrive 2 tires (P 215/50 R17) on my 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV on 05/08/2024 at Discount Tire in Round Rock, TX (Store #TXA 23). The tires were balanced as part of the installation. After six days of normal commuting, on 05/14/2024, the vehicle began experiencing significant vibrations at highway speeds 60 - 70+ mph. As a point of reference, the passenger side headrest was visibly moving back and forth due to the vibration. I took the tire back to Discount Tire and, after removing the tire from the wheel, they discovered that the SoundComfort noise reduction foam inside of the tire had come dislodged and was bunched up inside of the tire. The foam did not appear attached to the inside of the tire in any way. After the foam was removed and the tire remounted, the vibration was no longer present. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The noise reduction foam inside of the tire came loose inside the tire and caused the tire to become out of balance. The tire is currently mounted on the car but with the noise reduction foam removed. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Significant vibrations while operating the vehicle could distract the driver or under certain circumstances cause impair the driver's control of the vehicle especially at higher speeds. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, Discount Tire diagnosed the issue by attempting to balance all four wheels, discovering one was out of balance, and then proceeded to remove the tire from the vehicle. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warnings lamps or messages. A significant vibration at highway speeds was the only symptom and began being observed on 5/14/2024 (6 days after installation).

Staggered tires on this car Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric 2 Run flats. Front size - 245/40 R 20/99y, Rear -275/35 R 20/102 These tires cannot take the load of the car . I purchased the vehicle & the same tire (front driver side) has blown & ripped open over a moderate pothole, Aug 2020 & in Sep, 2022. In my opinion these tires are massive liability and a huge safety hazard. These are Summer runflat tires & also there no Allseason ROF's
