LANDSAIL CLX11 TIRES- Kerrville, TX
The contact owns a 2016 Ram 2500 equipped with Landsail Tires, Tire Line: CLX-1, Tire Size: LT275/70/R18, DOT number: TBDEF75C. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the tread of the front passenger’s side tire separated, causing the vehicle to start shaking abnormally. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was confirmed that the front passenger’s side tire tread had separated. The tire as not replaced. The tires were replacement tires. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 42,000. The tire failure mileage was 34,449.

LANDSAIL CLV2 TIRES- San Antonio, TX
265/60R18 The tire is a LANDSAIL. The tires on all four wheels have started to fail their is a noticeable line where the belts have be gone to pull away. I had one fail one the right front and replaced both on the front replaced at time of failure, the same failure has happened with a tire with the size 255/70R16 on a different truck with the same failure by the same band. Their has been no unusual use of the tires but have started this with less then a year on them on average the top speed that the truck goes is 75

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1986 NISSAN 300ZX (NA) EQUIPPED WITH LANDSAIL TIRES (NA), SIZE 205/65/R15. THE CONTACT STATED THAT DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER AND DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, HE WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AND IT SPUN OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. AFTER DIAGNOSIS, THEY ADVISED HIM THAT THE DESIGN OF THE TIRE MAY BE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WAS APPROXIMATELY 186,000 ON THE VEHICLE AND 7,000 ON THE TIRES. THE VIN AND DOT NUMBER WAS UNAVAILABLE. *TR
