205/60 R 16 I was driving on the Loop 101 South in Scottsdale, Arizona going highway speeds when I heard my passenger side rear tire explode. There were no preceding warning lights or tire pressure warnings before it happened. I pulled over and say that the sidewall blew out on both sides. There were no puncture marks on the tire that would have caused the blowout except for the sidewall failing.

Tire tread delaminated from the body of the tire, leading to loss of pressure and dangerous loss of vehicle control. Both rear tires had the same issue. 295 /30 R21

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Transit equipped with Michelin Tires, Tire Line: Agilis CrossClimate C-Metric, Tire Size: 235/65R/16C, and DOT Number: 1FK4107CX. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23T002000 (Tires); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

My rear driver side tire failed on the interstate and lost pressure so quickly I had to pull over immediately. Thankfully the tire remained intact enough for me to safely pull over and no one was injured. After realizing this wasn’t just a puncture, I was shocked. This is either a major defect with the tire or with Teslas installation of the tire. The inner part of the tire was shredded but the rest of the tire has significant tread left. These tires are less than 1 year old and less than 16500 miles of use. The tires offer a 30,000 mile warranty.

I purchases a set of new Michelin Defender LTX M/S LT265/75R16 (123/120R) tires for my 1999 Chevrolet Suburban K2500 in June 2023 and I am attempting to register the tires with Michelin. None of the tires have a date code on them. The DOT code of these tires is 1M3 4N 00KX, there is NO date code on any of the four (4) tires.

The contact stated he was informed at a State Inspection that the vehicle had failed the inspection because there was a large crack in the tread of all four tires. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 13T006000 (Tires); however, the tire size was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the tires were not covered. The tires were replacement tires. The tires were not replaced. The tire failure mileage was approximately 33,000. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 117,000.

i was driving down hwy then all of a sudden i see n my rear view mirror that im dragging my passenger side quarter panel .. so i pulled off then took the rest of quarter panel off .. start driving again then i keep hearing the same noise .. i pulled off again & noticed that the tread on my tire had completely peeled off the tire itself.. tire still is hiolding air … i cant fathom the idea how it did this.. the body of my car rear passenger side is completely demolished..

The problem is that the tires all six of them are needing to be replaced, A mechanic pointed out the tires are rotting from the sides and should not be driven at all. The dealership said the registration and license plate would be mailed but i am wondering how did it pass inspection? These tires are not is safe condition to be driven especially on highway. Why can a dealership sell a vehicle that is a danger to everyone around this vehicle and to the driver and passengers. 235/80r22.5

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, he heard an abnormal sound outside of the vehicle and the vehicle started to shake abnormally. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the tires were inspected and it was determined that the rear driver’s side inside tire sidewall was split, and all four tires were warped and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds, the driver's side rear tire experienced tread separation. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the local dealer, but the tire was not inspected or replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and recommended a tire replacement. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated there was a complete tire separation failure and cap. The failure mileage was approximately 1,200.
