Recall number NHTSA #25V-667 has not had a remedy for the past two months now. We have tried several dealers, including Alfa Romeo Daytona Beach, to solve the recall problem, but were given no solution at every attempt. We no longer feel safe driving this car with an enduring open safety recall and would like to file a complaint to Alfa Romeo. The recall is related to a software defect that does not allow the rear view camera to display, increasing the chance of an accident.

After towing my vehicle to Alfa Romeo of Mariettea on November 4th for recall 82B (seatbelt), my car immediately developed throttle hesitation, check-engine light, and start/stop warning light. These issues were not present before the service. Recall 93C (fuel delivery module) remains open, but the timing of these new problems indicates they arose from the 82B service. The dealership and Alfa Romeo have refused interim assistance, leaving my car unsafe to drive. Requested Actions: 1. Inspection and repair of the post-service throttle and engine issues. 2. Interim transportation (loaner or reimbursement) while 93C is pending. I have documented all communications with the dealership and Alfa Romeo Customer Care. The problems appeared immediately after the 82B recall service and were not present before.

I received a manufacturer recall notice (Recall 93C / NHTSA 25V-586) for my 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia concerning a defective rear fuel line quick connector that may leak fuel and cause an engine compartment fire. I contacted Alfa Romeo of Brandon (FL) several times to schedule an inspection and request a temporary vehicle as recommended by FCA. My service advisor, Lenny Patram, confirmed that the remedy is not yet available and advised me to wait for further notice. Despite expressing safety concerns, I was told that no loaner or temporary vehicle could be provided. This situation puts my safety and the safety of others at risk. The recall notice specifically warns that a fuel leak could lead to a fire, yet I have been advised to continue parking the vehicle outside and avoid driving it if possible. I rely on this vehicle for daily transportation and have not been offered any safe alternative or clear timeframe for repair. In addition to the recall, my check engine light has been on for several weeks, and the “A!” warning light appears intermittently. These indicators began appearing after I received the recall notice and may be related to the same underlying defect. The dealer has not inspected the vehicle because parts are unavailable. The issue has not been reviewed by the manufacturer, insurance, or any third party. The vehicle is currently at my residence and available for inspection upon request. Warning lights prior to failure: Yes — check engine light and “A!” warning. Reproduced/confirmed by dealer: No — recall acknowledged but not inspected. Component available for inspection: Yes.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - THE MANUFACTER HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THE FUEL PUMP IS FLAWED. THERE IS NO RESOLUTION PROVIDED AT THIS TIME FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS TO BE PERFORMED. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - I AM DEEPLY CONCERN ABOUT THE POTENTIAL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS DEFECT. A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING COULD LEAD TO A DANGEROUS SITUATION ON THE ROAD. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? -YES, THE DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? -VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN FURTHER INSPECTED AS THERE IS NO RESOLUTION TO THIS MATTER AT THIS TIME. FOR THAT REASON, I AM VERY HESITANT TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS PROPERTLY RESOLVED. IS SIGNIFICANT SAFETLY CONCERN FOR ME, MY PASSANGERS AND OTHERS IN THE ROAD AS WELL. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - NO DIRECT WARNING OR MESSAGE HOWEVER, ELECTRICAL ISSUES HAVE BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM BUT NO MAIN SOURCE HAVE EVER BEEN FOUND, EVEN AFTER MULTIPLES APPOINMENTS AND REPAIRS AT THE SHOP. MORE RECENTLY, THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES ARE BECOMING FRECUENT AND I'M AFFRAID ALL IS RELATED TO THIS PUMP ISSUE.

Oil Pump Solenoid will get stuck and will cause the car to go into LOMP mode or in worse cases cause the drivetrain to lock up and a lose all power. It can happen at random.

My car stopped and would not turn back on while in the middle lane of a busy highway. We were stopped on the highway >20min until police arrived to block the lanes so we could safely exit the vehicle and a tow truck could safely retrieve it. The ground strap underneath the vehicle that grounds the main engine harness was broken. As a result the electrical short resulted in burning/melting of several spots on the harness. There was no warning ahead of time and I’ve learned that this is a known issue. We are very lucky that this did not lead to a crash, injury or death.

The contact owns a 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The contact stated that the vehicle was unintendedly stopping and starting. While driving at 15 MPH, the vehicle shut off. The vehicle was jump-started. The driver was able to continue driving. The contact had the battery replaced at an independent mechanic. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who confirmed that the battery was not operating properly. The ABW warning light was illuminated. While pulling into the fuel station, the vehicle shut off. The vehicle was jump-started, and the contact drove to the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000.

This is a follow up for complaint #11693742 issued on October 16, 2025. I picked up my car from the dealership (Jim Ellis Alfa Romeo Atlanta) after the nearly $5k repair that they stated was due to an Oil Pump failure not the Fuel Pump failure as indicated by the Stellantis Recall, only to find that they falsified information on the paperwork description. They left out the information that I gave them when I told them that the dashboard displayed the following warning lights: ETC, Auto Start-Stop Unavailable, and Check Engine. They wrote only the Check Engine light was reported. They falsely stated that only the Check Engine light was illuminated, when in reality all three of the aforementioned warning lights were displayed the very morning that I had the car loaded on the tow truck. Please investigate Stellantis/Alfa Romeo for possibly misleading and falsifying information in order to have consumers foot the bill for repair for a fix for power loss due to a Fuel Pump failure when in actually it is an Oil Pump failure, or an Oil Pump failure that they are falsely claiming a Fuel Pump issue. This repair cost me about as much as the cost of a used 2018 Alfa Romeo, and the company is making enough money of this repair such that when they do honor the recall repair, then it won't cost them anything. It seems easy to me that if they is a Fuel Pump failure that is resulting in a recall, then the easy fix (that Stellantis should cover the cost) is to replace the fuel pump.

The contact owns a 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed, however the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the residence nearby. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that the vehicle was inoperable and could not be driven because of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.
