My son was driving the vehicle on I75 at 68-70 MPH yesterday around 5:45 pM. The car started stalling.I was driving my other vehicle Volvo XC 90 right behind. I noticed his vehicle slowed downs drastically and within 4 seconds he was on left shoulder and stalled completely and would not stop. The vehicle went from 70-40-20-0 all in 4 seconds. Something very similar happened back in May of 2022. The Alfa Romeo dealer replaced the fuel pump in September/October of 2022. Stalling happened again yesterday. This is a very dangerous and known issue and Alfa Romeo manufacturer is not doing any recall or addressing this issue. Yesterday’s incident would have custard an accident which would have lead to injuries or even worse fatality When I called Alfa Romeo manufacturer’s customer service all they had to say was that the vehicle is not under warranty and they won’t cover the repairs. Please do a major recall on Alfa Romeo vehicles and make the manufacturers be responsible for the issue and make them to do a recall & repair. This is a very serious issue with Alfa Romeo cars. Stalls in the middle of the road.

The battery shuts off the main screen making it difficult to navigate. The battery doesn't get charged adequately and that affects the electronic displays. This flaw could affect GPS, navigation as well as other essential electronic components.

On 7/13/2023 while driving at about 40 mph with a half tank of gas the engine shut down and the car rolled to a stop. It took about 3 or 4 tries to restart the car over a span of 10 minutes. A scan of the codes at a repair shop indicated issues with the fuel pump. Check Engine Light came on when the incident happened. There are 11,000 miles on the car.

The car will shut off in traffic out of no where. While driving the cars speed randomly will decrease to 15 miles and hour on the interstate almost causing a crash. When the cars speeds decreases randomly it does not all you to accelerate. Therefore the car is just going 15 miles an hour on a highway of no less than 65 miles. This has happened multiple times in the last 2 months. I see there was a recall of the same vehicles for the same issue a few years ago but this vehicle wasn’t listed yet it is experiencing the same issues. Have spent countless dollars and the problem is still not fixed

Around 715p, today, May 29, my wife was driving the Alfa Romeo Giulia, and we pulled into our driveway. I was in the passenger seat and had my right elbow resting on the window sill (the window was fully open) and my palm was resting against the window frame. My wife pressed the automatic window up button as she was turning off the car. As the window started up, my forearm was trapped between the sill and the window frame. the pain was extremely intense, particularly from where the window kept trying to close. I yelled at my wife several times to hit the window down button. I could not get my arm out. Finally, I was able to pull my arm out scraping the skin. I feel that, if there had been soft tissue such as a baby's neck where my arm was, the tissue would have been crushed. After I pulled my arm out, the window did not continue to raise.

I was making my daily commute to work on 5/8/2023. Location:Between Liberty Texas and Devers Texas on Highway 90 Rundown of Events: I was Driving on the highway 90 alone. No inclement weather and no other motor vehicles within atleast 700 ft or more. For absolutely no reason, my sunroof randomly exploded with no 3rd party influence such as a rock/animal etc etc. The music was at a low level where I could have easily had a soft spoken conversation if I would have had a passenger present. There was absolutely no reason for the sunroof to explode. When the sunroof exploded it caused glass to fall into the vehicle aswell as fly back to the rear of the vehicle blocking the rear windshield. In addition to blocking my view, this caused the paint and body to be severely scratched. The explosion of the sunroom was so loud and jarring and sudden, that if there had been any other vehicles on the road, there would have been a high chance of this incident causing a motor vehicle accident and potentially causing myself death or harm. The vehicle is Currently at northside imports maserati alfa romeo in houston texas. The service advisor named Binh states they cannot find a reason for the sunroof to have exploded. They also cannot determine that it was caused by a third party influence. Essentially they are just saying that it happened and there is no logical reason for it.

The vehile comes with panaromic, all-glass power sunroof as a standard option. The power sunroof on my vehicle had failed to operate due to a broken "guide", as identified by the dealer. I initiated an out of warranty claim through the dealer because I believe this is a quality defect, during follow-up correspondance I learnt from dealer that the manufacturer acknowledged this is a known issue. Online vehicle owner communities have also had numerious reports on similar failure, some of which left the sunroof open and vehicle undrivable. The manufacturer agreed to cover 50% of repair cost but had declined to cover the repair in full.
