I’m having to replace my REPLACE WATER PUMP AND VACUUM LINES WITH RESERVOIR at 41k miles or it risk overheating the engine. It is a significant repair at a premature time. After researching, it has been reported there are historical issues with this and faulty parts.

The MMI randomly shuts down repeatedly while driving. It will shut down and reset while driving every 5 minutes or so regardless of what is connected to the system. It happens when my phone is connected via bluetooth, via android auto, or if no phone at all is connected to the system. Its very very frustrating.

The infotainment system reboots at random times. This is a security risk since it often reboots while the backup camera is active. This effectively takes the backup camera offline. This can also distract the driver since the screen blacks out then reboots promoting for two confirmation screens that you normally go through when in park.

Vehicle info system (MMI) unexpectedly and repeatedly reboots, affecting rear backup camera and parking assist radar functions at critical moments in addition to navigation and other vehicle functions. In addition to the safety issue with the rear camera and radar failing unexpectedly, the reboot creates distraction for the driver.

A coil that is attached underneath the sunroof is attached to the BCM. There is not a drain plug at the end so there was 5 inches of water there and the BCM was made to sit in that spot. The electrical wires and BCM were burned out because of this. The BCM controls the entire system not limited to the start button and everything that runs the car. I have only had the vehicle less than 1 year and it costs 4000 dollars to fix. My car has been at the dealership since June 9th.

I have been dealing with an unresolved recall issue on my Audi for over a year. Despite numerous attempts to contact Audi Atlanta, I have not received any meaningful assistance. Each time I call, I’m told that a solution has not yet been provided for the recall. Additionally, my vehicle has experienced multiple issues, including overheating. Audi Atlanta has been unable to diagnose or resolve the problem, even after keeping the car for several days on multiple occasions. Most recently, water has begun leaking into the interior, and this issue also remains unfixed. I have tried repeatedly to reach out to Audi Atlanta, but my calls are now being ignored. This ongoing lack of support is extremely frustrating. My vehicle is rapidly depreciating, and I’m unable to sell it due to the unresolved recall. I feel completely abandoned by the dealership and Audi as a brand. I am requesting immediate assistance in resolving these issues.

The MMI system, which displays navigation and other controls, shuts down and restarts frequently while the car is in motion. The problem occurs at least once every trip, and typically every 10 minutes. In my case, I use Apple CarPlay as my navigation system, and the sudden and unexpected loss of navigation poses serious safety risks to me and others, because I either need to pick up my phone to see the map or make a sudden driving maneuver to correct my course. The incident occurred with two other phones, and even when no phone was connected to the car. And it also happened when another person in my household was driving. So the problem is not phone or driver-dependent. I have not yet brought the car to the Audi dealership for diagnostic service.

MMI/radio shuts off while driving every day. Good morning. I’m hoping someone here can help me. I have a 2020 A5 and about 2 weeks my car started doing an annoying thing where while driving the radio/MMI randomly shuts off and reboots. I’ve tried everything I can think of to both replicate it and stop it but nothing has worked.

1) About two months ago, my 2020 Audi A4's MMI began crashing and rebooting randomly while driving. Most of the time, I had connected my phone via Bluetooth to the MMI, and was playing music from my phone. 2) Once it crashes and reboots, most of the time it would pick up my phone's Bluetooth signal again, and show the music file that is still playing, but there would be no sound from the car's sound system. 3) Even after I park, shut off my car, and restart it, the same problem would persist -- the car recognizes that a music file is playing, but no sound. 4) The frequency and randomness of the incidents picked up as time went along. Sometimes it would not crash for the entire duration of my commute; sometimes it would crash within minutes; sometimes it would crash multiple times. No discernible pattern. 5) Later on, I discovered that the MMI would crash even when I did not have a Bluetooth connection, nor any cord plugged into the car via USB. 6) Between June 19-20, 2025, Niello Audi in Sacramento ran a software update for me. I picked up the car on the afternoon of Friday, June 20, and did not drive it again until Monday, June 23. 7) There was no incident between the morning of Monday, June 23 through the morning of Thursday, June 26. 8) On the evening of [XXX], the MMI crashed and rebooted within one minute of the car starting up, before I had even exited my work garage. 9) On the evening of [XXX], the MMI crashed and rebooted within 10 minutes of the car starting up, with no Bluetooth or hardwire connection to the car at all. My MMI system is routinely shutting down. I cant use my garage opener, rear backup, warning collision effects and have to routinely reset while driving.
