My first two years of ownership of the Juicebox 40 were pretty uneventful. However, over the last few months my Juicebox 40 became very unpredictable. Sometimes it would charge outside of the Time of Use (TOU) settings I had defined in the Enel X way app. Sometimes it wouldn't charge during the times it was supposed to be charging. There were a lot of random error messages. My hypothesis was that the Juicebox was receiving contradictory commands from multiple sources at Enel X. The support staff at Enel X could not figure it out. Then, on 9/12/24, I walked into my garage and smelled smoke. I had a sense it was coming from where the Juicebox connects to the 14-50 wall plug so I cut the breaker. When I went back to investigate more closely, I saw that the Juicebox had completely melted the 14-50 wall outlet. The smell I was smelling was the 14-50 outlet completely melting down.

Dear NHTSA, I am filing a complaint about the handling of a recall repair on my 2015 Audi A3 (VIN: [XXX] ) for the suction jet pump. The service experience has been frustrating and raises concerns about the repair’s quality. 1.First Visit - Inadequate Information: During my first visit to the service center, over an hour away, I was turned away because my fuel level was too high. I was never informed that my gas tank needed to be below a certain level for the repair, resulting in wasted time and travel. 2.Second Visit - Check Engine Light Still On: On my second visit, the suction jet pump was supposedly repaired, but my check engine light remained on. I had informed the service advisor that the light was related to an EVAP system malfunction, which I was told could be caused by a faulty suction jet pump. After speaking with multiple mechanics, I learned that a malfunctioning suction jet pump could cause fuel to enter the EVAP system, damaging parts like the purge valve or charcoal canister. 3.Unreasonable Charges: The service advisor insisted that the remaining EVAP issues were unrelated to the recall and wanted to charge $220 for another diagnostic and repairs, without even inspecting the car after the recall service. This seems unfair, as there’s no way to confirm without a proper check. 4.Missing Seat Belt Buckle: After the recall service, I discovered that the rear driver’s side seat belt buckle was missing. This is a major safety concern and needs to be addressed. I request NHTSA’s help in investigating the repair quality and ensuring these issues are resolved fairly. Thank you for your attention. Steering malfunction indicator light illuminated and I experienced a total loss of power steering. Brought car to Dealer Service Center. Was informed that the problem is related to a known software issue and that an update to the software is expected sometime toward the end of Q4 2024. In the interim, DTC's have been set to passive and the steering malfunction indicator light has been deactivated.

My car cut off while I was driving [XXX]. My family including my [XXX] was in the car when the car shut off mid drive. No warning nothing. Power was on but the steering wheel locked and the brake pedal was firm. I could not switch gears nothing. It's a Sunday so I had the car towed to my home. 10/7 I have the car towed to Bell Audi in Edison NJ and was told it's my alternator. I work from home, I barely drive 10 miles a week. I use my car to pick my daughter up from school which is close to home. I have researched and found this is a common issue with Audi cars that are not old. At 13k miles I should not have this issue. We could've died on the highway as that is where I was heading towards. I checked my vin and found this is a common issue which is not acceptable as we almost died in the car as it stopped short and scared all of us and locked up. 3 times this vehicle did not try to stop in time to keep from rear ending a vehicle. The imminent crash warning would come on but the vehicle did not try to stop. This model is supposed to apply the brakes on its own to keep from rear ending someone but it did not apply brakes. If I hadn’t taken hard and immediate braking action we would have rear ended vehicles. The vehicle has an $5800.00 option to brake in emergency situations. There have been at least 3 instances where the vehicle will not engage with lane keeping attempts while being on. This vehicle will also not notify the driver that the vehicle is leaving its lane even though it has lane keeping technology options turned on and purchased.

My 7 year old car now display the below error and Audi says it will cost $6000 to fix this. $6K to fix a broken light is unacceptable especially because it is a known issue. Audi recall campaign 97CB (NHTSA campaign ID 16V642000) addresses this exact issue.

I was driving along on the highway, at normal speeds. When my engine started surging, causing me to speed up and slow down rapidly. Putting the safety of others behind and in front of me in danger. No check engine or any light of that nature turned on. then after another mile or so my engine sputtered then just died. I had to pull to the left side of the road since there way a semi truck to my right and it was rush hour here on [XXX] in Denver, CO. I don't know what the issue was but I was worried if the people behind me could easily get out from behind me as I almost caused a rear end collision. I'm taking my A8 into the mechanic this coming Monday to find out exactly what was wrong. But engines shouldn't just die out on you on the highway. My 2017 Audi Q7 is reporting a "front right side marker light defective" message. This happened after the car was brought into the dealer. The light is functional according to the dealer and visual inspection but I was told this is a nuisance error message. The dealer said even though it is working fine, I can pay $4,000 to have the light replaced to make the message go away. Or the other option is to just live with it, which means when it does go out I won't know that it has failed. This seems like a defective part that should be recalled.

Jul 9 2024. Plug-in hybrid battery fire. Car plugged in at 11:10am with an empty battery. At 1:45pm we noticed white smoke emitting from the battery, (rear left near charge port). Immediately unplugged. Fire Department on scene, car pushed to street. Disconnected battery, observed heat and some black residue in the battery compartment, FD deemed it no longer an immediate threat, so they departed. At 3:02pm the battery ignited and quickly developed into fully involved car fire. FD returned at 3:08pm and extinguished the fire by 3:09. Filed an insurance claim. Total loss. AudiUSA has not answered phone calls, emails, messages. They assigned a rep to the incident but he has never made any contact, despite my attempts to reach him.
