2019 AUDI Q7- Watervliet, NY
At 50k miles, in July 2023, I was told by the dealer, Audi, that the rear spring mounts were corroding, and it was not covered by warranty. Everything I have read about spring mounts is that they are not considered a wear and tear part, and should not deteriorate. But I paid about $2,000 for the repair. Now, 11 months later, one spring coil itself has broken, and despite the warranty since it was last replaced less than a year ago, Audi will not honor the warranty at all, because it was the spring mounts and not the springs themselves that were replaced. However, it is the same job to repair, and so I am forced to pay for the same amount of labor again. This seems criminal given the parts are interdependent and the job takes an equal amount of time. I don’t understand why the coils weren’t replaced initially, as I now have to pay for the project to essentially be redone. Yes, it is a safety issue. Was not inspected by police but it was by the manufacturer. There haven’t been any warning indicators in the vehicle.

2021 AUDI A6- newton, MA
Vehicle had electrical system malfunction. Vehicle provided an electrical system malfunction and vehicle starting system malfunction warning message a few days prior to the incident. Vehicle has approximately 20.5K miles on odometer. Before I was able to bring it to service, the electrical system malfunction message became more severe and turned from yellow to red. While driving, the vehicle progressively shut down ABS, lane departure, and other systems and gave a transmission warning message. Eventually, the car lost power and I was left stranded at the side of the road.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Water Ingress and Electrical Damage – Seeking Damages Dear Audi Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding significant issues with my Audi vehicle, which have led to severe damage and financial loss. Below are the details of the incidents: Initial Incident of Water Ingress: A few months ago, my Audi experienced water ingress through the sunroof, causing water to enter the front of the vehicle. This issue was addressed and repaired by your dealership under warranty. Recent Incident of Water Ingress: From June 13 to June 15, during heavy rains in Florida, my vehicle was stationary and parked. On [XXX], while driving the vehicle, I noticed an electrical burning smell and had to stop immediately. All the lights were displaying errors. Upon taking the vehicle to the Audi dealership, it was discovered that there was water ingress into the battery area and the rear of the vehicle. Despite the previous repairs for water ingress, the recent inspection revealed extensive water damage. The dealership has stated that the damage cannot be repaired under warranty and provided an estimated repair bill of $23,000. Consequently, my insurance company had to declare the vehicle a total loss. Given the history of water ingress issues and the failure of the initial repair to prevent further damage, it is evident that there is a significant defect in the vehicle. It is unacceptable that such a defect has not been adequately addressed, posing a safety hazard to consumers. PLEASE INVESTIGATE AS I AM not the only victim of this problem and audi is aware.
