2017 AUdi Q7 shares the same rear coil springs with the Volkwagen Atlas. There has already been a recall for the Atlas (18V-904), but none for the same issue with the Audi Q7. Volkswagen Atlas vehicles included in this recall may been manufactured with rear coil springs of certain production batches using a material that does not meet specifications as well as rear coil springs from production batches made with Vanadium material from one subsupplier with incorrect process parameters. The potentially affected vehicles were identified by tracking suspected parts batches using this material. The affected VINs are not sequential since some batches were built using correct raw material.

The car was sitting in the driveway in the rain. I went out to get something out of it and the car was dead, but the back wiper was going, the rear lights were on and the driver side windows went down. I had it towed to the dealer and they told me water had gotten into the area in the back left wheel well where the comfort module is located. The dealer tried to say there was something wrong with the rear hatch but there isn’t. I’ve read account after account online of this exact issue happening to other owners and it caused by a defective sunroof drain. It drains right into the rear hatch with the module. They quoted $9000 for the repairs.

Start/Stop system malfunction. The vehicle gave me this warning and the vehicle almost stopped completely in the interstate while doing 65mph. The warning disappeared after couple of times of turning the car back on, but it appeared once again. It looks that their are many complaints and a class act lawsuit on Audi about this problem but no recalls. It's dangerous and really mind blowing that nothing has been done on this issue.

Front right marker side light malfunction but the light seems to work at times. I see there was a recall on this issue but I don't find my vehicle under this recall.

The contact owns a 2014 Audi Q7 equipped with Nexen HP, Tire Line: Roadian, Tire Size: 275/45/R20, DOT Number: 8YEHDECR2122. The contact stated that after washing her vehicle she noticed that a bubble had formed on the side wall of the passenger’s side front tire. The contact stated that the front tires were constantly losing air. The contact stated that this was the fourth set of tires that had a failure from the same retailer. The contact had originally purchased the first set of tires over one year ago, and all the tires had experienced the failures. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 120,000. The tire failure mileage was approximately 1,200.

Rear Sunroof drain leak into major electronic components. 2018 Q5 with 61k miles after heavy rain started receiving all kind all errors including lights and ignition. Upon inspection Audi service has stated that HVAC control module has shorten (the area with the module in the left rear portion of the trunk filled with water), quoting repair of the module and insisting to replace sunroof drain hoses for total of $5k. Insurance has agreed to cover module replacement due to the flood of approx. $2,5k, however drain hoses and deducible with another $2,5k would not be covered and is on me. Mechanic in the Audi service several times noted that that this is common issue with Q5 and Q7s., I am so frustrated and do not understand how come the Audi car the owner shall be responsible for any cost of such if it is unclear: 1. How and why the water gets there through the closed sunroof in such amount to flood electrical equipment. Are all Audi sunroof seals so bad that they fail in 6 years? 2. I had serviced the car in the Audi for up to 60k, and no one ever cleaned the drains there or advised me of such (all is needed a small note for me)? Why did I pay extra to service car in the official dealerships? 3. How Audi could sell a vehicle with such design flaw, placing weak drainage hose through the electrical equipment compartment, considering they just had a class action lawsuit over sunroof leaking but on different models and model years.

I was pulling into a parking space at approximately 5 mph and the car unintentionally accelerated causing me to jump the curb, go over a grass median and land perpendicularly onto a one-way active road. There were trees and other items on the median I could've hit had I'd been pulling into a different parking space. I also could've hit cars on the road. I quickly got off the road and parked the car.

At first, the yellow electrical system malfunction warning light came on. After a short time of driving, the light turned red, and very shortly after than (within five minutes as I was trying to drive the vehicle to the dealership for repair), all of the electrical systems in the vehicle failed. It created a very dangerous driving situation. I brought the vehicle to the Audi dealership, where they made repairs (replacing the generator) and returned the vehicle to me. Two days later, the yellow electrical system malfunction warning light returned while I was driving on the highway. I was able to drive the vehicle home, but along the way, the air conditioning failed. I will be bringing the vehicle back to Audi for further repairs. This defect is very dangerous because, in a very short amount of time, the car not only becomes inoperable, but essentially all of the car’s systems fail.

Hello, On September 29, 2023 while I was driving my 2018 Audi Q5 a light come out "Steering malfunction! Please stop vehicle". I called the Dealer Audi Arrowhead in Peoria, Arizona, and schedule an appointment for October3, 2023 to do a diagnose. I drove the car throughout these days and I have not notice anything wrong with the car, except that light. I went to the dealer they proceed the diagnosis, gave me the code C101C07, and the quote to do steering gear replacement. I asked them: if the car is drivable, is just that light on the dashboard, why you can not do a software update? Because they refused to do that, I called Audi USA, and after a few days of back and forth communication they refused to do the software update and agreed to participate with the repairs and cover 50% of the repair cost. I pick up the car from Audi Arrowhead (they did not provide a print out result for diagnosis, also no bill for diagnosis) and I called Audi Scottsdale and because they confirmed me that they can do a software update I decided to bring the car in their shop and have again a diagnosis done. The same code was founded and of course they refused to give me a print out result, and I got charged $210. Even they admit the car does not show sign of something broken, telling me that it is possible that it will never show signs of failure they refused to do the software update. Because it doesn't make sense to me that the car runs perfectly, as always, only the light is on in the dashboard, I ask you to help me and intervene by asking Audi to issue a bulletin to update the software on my 2018 Audi Q5. Heard a loud exploding sound while driving down the street. Quickly realized that the sunroof exploded and shattered on it own. No impact and nothing fell on it. Just a random explosion. Called local Audi dealership and they have heard of this issue in Audis, but that there is no active recall.
