The Generator (Part #: 4N0903028P) failed causing the car to shutoff while driving. This is a known issue by Audi as it has issued a TSB. Further steps must be taken by the OEM to ensure safe operation of the vehicle by its owners. This is a safety issue that must be resolved soonest!

This vehicle was maintained by Audi/VW for 60000 miles under a service contract. While changing my snow tires I noticed the spring was broken. My wife did claim she heard a rattling in the back of the car, this must have been it. I’ve found multiple complaints from different owners on car online forums claiming they found the same spring, the right rear, unexpectedly broken. A suspension failure can have devastating results especially with a 7400 pound towing capacity.

I'm concerned about the engine connecting rod recall. I'm not too faithful of a dealer replacing the engine if that's what needed. If it is and we have problems, I will want a new q5.

I was driving down a well paved road obeying the speed limit of 35MPH when a loud bang startled me. There was nothing in the road, and I checked my rear view mirror to confirm and there was nothing in the road. The car started handling a little differently. I brought it to the dealership and they told me both rear springs had broken. The vehicle only had about 70K miles on it. It could have severely affected the car's driving and could have put driver, passenger or other cars in jeopardy. There were no warnings at all.

Electrical failure indicator lit up. I was on my way to the dealership service center. Within 10 minutes of driving, the car completely shutdown right at a busy intersection and before an active railroad crossing. Tow truck was called by the police as the car was not starting and therefore undriveable.

When started up on 11/17/22, multiple warning lights came on in rapid sequence advising of an electrical system & battery malfunction. Warning was to not drive the vehicle and contact service. I shut off the vehicle and re-started it. The same warnings were displayed. I was about 0.8 mile from the dealer so I attempted to drive it to their location. On the way, the warnings continued to show. After about 0.6 miles, the transmission fully disengaged from the engine. I coasted to the side of the street, shut off the vehicle, re-started it (same warnings showed) but the transmission was reset and worked. I drove to the dealership where my Audi mechanic knew exactly what the issue is--there is a huge problem with a Continental-supplied 48V belt starter/generator that needs to be replaced. However, none are available and won't be available until sometime in Q1 2023 or later. The replacement part is backordered with every Audi dealership experiencing this issue with multiple models in the MY's of 2018 through 2023. Had this issue occurred on an Interstate highway (complete loss of transmission), I could have been rear-ended by a vehicle following me. In a multi-lane situation, coasting to the either side of the highway may not have been possible....again, creating a very hazardous situation for me and other vehicles. I tried to attach the Audi Technical Service Bulletin showing the extent of the issue within Audi's model range and model years but it would not upload to your site. The TSB is 27 22 45 2058831/5 September 27, 2022. This is issue is leaving thousands of Audi vehicles unsafe and un-driveable. I urge you to act immediately to force Audi to recall these vehicles.

"Locked doors make it more difficult for emergency workers to enter the vehicle, which puts lives at risk." This quote is from the warning on page 40 of the Audi owners manual. I do not wish to drive wth the doors locked for this reason, yet the Audi computer automatically locks the doors every time the car exceeds about 10 MPH. The local dealer was unable to reprogram the vehicle to turn off auto lock. After consulting with tech support, they said it is not possible to turn off auto lock. I strongly believe there needs to be a software upgrade to correct this vehicle deficiency. Owners must be permitted to drive with the doors unlocked so if we are involved in a collision bystanders and/or emergency personnel may assist us.

My MMI 5F module went out right after an oil change service on Nov 12, 2022 I called them as soon as I got home to inform Leader automotive in Normal Il. I was told I would not be able to be seen until January 5 2023 at 1:pm. I then called back a few days later and was able to move that appointment to Dec 16 at 10:00am. I paid $179.11for them to inspect and locate the issue: according to leader automotive the 5f module is bad and needs replaced. In my print out it states it is no longer in production. This part # 8RI-035-746-C is my entire control module that controls all my safety sensors, fluid levels, tire pressure, suspension control, navigation, hands free technology etc... I contacted Audi USA via Facebook and asked why the part is no longer in production. Via Instant messenger on Dec 16 2022 I answered all their questions and was told by Audi USA they would get back to me on in 2-3 days. I have heard nothing from them. When you try and call the hold times are 3.5-5 hours. No warning signs that the unit was failing other than the radio would turn on and off. It would not stay on long enough to reset tire pressure etc... after they inspected it it no longer turns on at all. My car is a 2013 Audi S4 that has had all the required maintenance performed by Audi. It has 50K miles on it. Well taken care of. I was told by [XXX] that the part is no longer made. I could search a junk yard to find the part and they will put it in at a cost of $283.50. She also said it sucked that they no longer make the part. I asked if the entire system could be replaced I was told no as she kinda laughed at my question. I asked about the safety of my car now and again she just stated that it sucked for me.
