I therefore complain about BMW's lack of responsiveness to this recall. Please remonstrate with BMW to cause this repair to happen with alacrity. Please use whatever federal regulatory powers you wield to prod BMW into compliance.

There is an outstanding recall on the car and BMW reached out by mail. it's green months - and now my car is starting to smell liked it is on fire (burning plastic smell) and smoke is coming from the ventilation in the dash. Now I have no car I can drive.

The contact was unsure if a Police report was filed. The Fire Department used the jaws of life to remove the driver’s side door. The vehicle was towed to the city impound lot and deemed totaled. The contact stated that the engine had overheated weeks before the vehicle stalled and was involved in the crash. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Coolant supply line to turbo is leaking, very common issue that lots of owners experience. This should be addressed by the company
