2026 CADILLAC CT4 Complaints

On or about XXX, I was the authorized subscriber and driver of a 2026 Cadillac CT4 owned by Flexcar, VIN [XXX]. While driving near [XXX] and [XXX], multiple dashboard warning lamps suddenly illuminated and a brake-assist warning appeared. The braking response became abnormally stiff or limited, and I nearly rear-ended another vehicle. The suspected systems are the service-brake/brake-assist system and the vehicle’s electrical or electronic-control system. The exact cause is UNKNOWN. There was no separate advance warning immediately before the incident; the warning lamps and brake-assist message appeared when the malfunction began. I photographed the illuminated dashboard. A similar event had previously occurred in this vehicle, and I experienced substantially similar symptoms in another Cadillac CT4 supplied by Flexcar. I immediately reported the incident, stopped driving and followed Flexcar’s towing and return instructions. The vehicle is now in Flexcar’s possession and may be available for inspection through Flexcar, but access is outside my control. Flexcar states that it inspected and tested the vehicle but could not reproduce the condition. Flexcar has not provided diagnostic codes, technician findings, the inspection facility or detailed test results. To my knowledge, no authorized Cadillac dealership, manufacturer representative, police agency, insurer or independent service center has inspected or confirmed the malfunction. I opened a case with Cadillac Customer Assistance, but Cadillac has not inspected the vehicle. The intermittent malfunction affected braking response and created an immediate collision risk to me and other road users. The dashboard photographs document that the warning condition occurred despite Flexcar’s later inability to reproduce it.
