2024 Escalade ESV sport 4WD was not included in eBCM recall issued in September 2024. Recall 24V-674 My vehicle was manufactured between August 2022 and July 2024. It was ordered and purchased in March 2024. The manufacturer failed to notify me by mail. upon checking recalls on NHTSA and Cadillac’s recall websites, it appears General Motors failed to include my car in the recall altogether. Evidently, on 10/15/2024, my car wasn’t braking properly, the dashboard lights for ABS, Brake, engine, and traction control were on, and the 6 months old car had to be towed as it wasn’t drivable due to failure to brake. The dealership informed me the eBCM was the issue and required repairs. It is very concerning my car wasn’t included in this safety recall. I drive my 3 young children daily and I would’ve never driven the car had I known a recall was issued a month prior. For separate reasons, I am currently in a legal dispute with General Motors and the dealership. It took me a lot of research to realize exactly what happened to my car on 10/15/2024. I hope the NHTSA addresses this serious concern promptly.

Steering assist disengaged, low power mode, no temperature read and check engine light. All occurred at 61k miles.

The contact owns a 2021 Cadillac XT5. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle in front of her kicked up a rock off the roadway and cracked the windshield. The vehicle was taken to Safelite, and the windshield was repaired. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

The Transmission , the vehicle came to a sudden stop while driving, confirmed by a mechanic, no it has not been inspected by insurance or others accident was avoided, no warnings lights, transmission began to jump in gear like a lunge forward. Double checked it and it would not go forward then it would let you reverse only and then it will not go forward or reverse. The vehicle had to be towed. Engine starts fine but can't drive

The recall i have listed below is a safety issue regarding the vehicles inability to properly stop for pedestrians, objects, traffic, backing up due to camera / software failure. This was fixed in 2022 on my car per the recall. everything worked great until it started happening again 12/2024 and they replaced the module now at an expense to me. it seemed to work for about 1 month and Now its 3/2025 and i continue to have this issue intermittently keep happening and they can't seem to find the problem. It happened in January, Feb, and March of this year. [XXX] — Cadillac XT4 rearview camera failures have caused a recall of more than 10,000 SUVs equipped with optional Surround Vision features. Recalled are 2019-2020 Cadillac XT4 vehicles with video processing modules (VPM) that may lose communication with the rearview cameras. This will cause the rearview camera image to fail. GM opened an investigation in August following backup camera failures in 2020 Cadillac XT4 SUVs. The automaker found increased warranty claims for camera failures on 2019 and 2020 XT4s. GM also received nearly 850 field reports between December 28, 2018, to September 19, 2022. According to General Motors, the problem with the video processing module is a software anomaly that allows the communication issues. A Cadillac XT4 driver may notice a problem if the backup camera image is replaced with a black or blue screen. Cadillac expects to mail XT4 recall letters January 9, 2022, and dealers will update the processing modules. In addition, the video processing modules will be replaced in 2019 Cadillac XT4 SUVs. While driving the car rapidly decelerated along with loss to steering control.The engine essentially shutdown and would not accelerate past 30 MPH with full force. Oil temperature was 280/300 and rising. Warnings came on the car stating service all wheel drive system,service safety restraint as airbags will not deploy, service transmission, service power steering along with the check engine light.I could not maneuver the car nor was the car drivable.Car was towed as it could not be driven.Car put myself and others at extreme risk.If I was on a highway myself or others would have been killed.Car was bought on [XXX].Incident occurred on [XXX]. Car was towed to Bergeys Cadillac Dealership in Plymouth Meeting PA and dealership proceeded to say nothing is wrong with the car.There is a class action suit against this exact issue with the same car and engine and dealership failed to acknowledge the issue and failed to let me return the car.Dealership has continued to say nothing is wrong with the vehicle. My wife was driving the vehicle on the interstate up a hill with our [XXX] daughter when the engine seized without warning. A light came on and said the engine was hot and the accelerator pedal gave no response, and the vehicle shifted itself into neutral. She was able to barely get the vehicle off of the highway and call for help. we had the vehicle towed to the local dealer where she was which is five hours from our home to be told it needs an engine without any timeline whatsoever. All of a sudden when I started my car, the lights flickered constantly, the power steering failed, and it blew my starter and fairly new battery. I was so scared; I thought it was going to catch on fire because it smelled burnt. And I was on [XXX] in Hubbard Ohio, and I was trying to get to [XXX] and safety to which I did. THANK Goodness for AAA. I was told this happened because of a plug in wiring to heat or warm the washer fluid. It is available for inspection. My safety was impacted because, I had no power steering, flickering lights and smell of burnt stuff. My problem was fixed by an independent shop. My vehicle was not inspected by a GM dealer or my insurance. Was inspected by an independent shop that it was towed to. Warnings prior to incident: I would turn the ignition and nothing. But that would only happen several weeks apart. I thought maybe the starter was going, but it was odd because it was so many weeks far apart that it would happen. It might have been a total of 4 times since October of 2024. During the incident, power steering warning came on, charging system came on and the car sounded like it was barely running. My 2023 XT4 had a fuel module failure. I was driving along a busy highway at 50 MPH when i lost complete power. Now i see on the Cadillac forum, many people are having problems with the Cadillac XT4. According to the towing company it happens all the times. I also read on the forum other people were told this too by towing companies. This is Dangerous and you could be left in the middle of a intersection and be T-boned. Shame on Cadillac for not caring. We have another XT4 in the household and now are afraid to drive. My car is currently being repaired. so at this time i do not have a repair invoice. Its still at Sheehan Cadillac Pompano Beach fla.

Water is getting into my trunk where the amp is and now my radio does not work only the back up camera. I cannot control the AC or turn on the air conditioner. Or is that how I would like it to blow
