The contact owns a 2015 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while driving at night, the headlights were extremely dim and failed to provide sufficient illumination of the roadway. The failure significantly reduced visibility and created a safety hazard. The vehicle was driven to a dealer; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 32,388.

I bought my car from a dealership. Owned it for 2yrs 2mo. 107k miles First issue came up after 3-4 months. Faulty power steering. Took it to service at a dealership they said I would need my wire harness assembly replaced as well as a steering gear. Problem still persists. Also one of the mechanics there showed me that the previous owner glued harness connector components together which is why I started seeing issues that weren't there before. Now today three new warning/service lights: abs, brake warning and traction control lights. I think it is the battery but I haven't tested it. Someone online with the same issue said he had to replace the electronic brake control module. So this issue has not been diagnosed. As a result of the traction control malfunctioning suddenly I spun out on the highway in slippery conditions but did not collide with anything. Both issues are available for inspection. More information can be found on the quote in the attatchment.

  • 2021 CADILLAC ESCALADE ESV
    - Bradenton, FL

On 12/18/2025 at approximately 73,097 miles, while driving on I-75 near Wildwood, Florida at about 75 mph, the vehicle experienced a sudden powertrain failure. The engine became seized/locked, the vehicle progressively lost power, and there were abnormal/loud mechanical noises. I was able to avoid a crash, but the event created a safety risk due to loss of propulsion at interstate speed. No accident occurred. The vehicle later received an engine replacement at Plaza Cadillac (Leesburg, FL). Dealer paperwork indicates completion on 01/07/2026, and the vehicle was returned to me on 02/02/2026. After the engine replacement, the vehicle displays safety-related warnings including: “Service Transmission Now – Unable to Shift Soon” “Service Electric Parking Brake” Because of these warnings, I am not driving the vehicle. The dealer plans to tow the vehicle in for inspection. In addition, the dealership has stated in writing that they typically clear diagnostic codes for test driving and that no post-repair/post-road-test diagnostic scan reports are saved or printed, meaning there may be limited retained documentation verifying that all modules were fault-free at release after the engine replacement. Cadillac case reference: Cadillac Care Center Service Request #88422536. I consent to sharing this complaint and vehicle details with the manufacturer.

On November 26, 2025, while traveling in stop-and-go freeway traffic, I experienced a severe braking failure that led to a rear-end collision. Despite applying maximum force to the brake pedal, the vehicle did not decelerate as expected. Objective technical evidence from the Bosch CDR report (Case #1105768) confirms a critical system failure: Extreme Driver Input: At -0.5 seconds before impact, Driver Applied Brake Pedal Pressure reached 10,935 kPa, representing a near-maximum emergency braking effort. Inadequate Response: Despite this peak pressure, the Vehicle Indicated Speed decreased only from 24 MPH to 22 MPH in the final 0.5-second interval. Data Discrepancy: The vehicle decelerated by 12 MPH (from 36 to 24 MPH) between -1.0s and -0.5s under lower pressure (7,695 kPa). However, when brake pressure was increased to its peak at -0.5s, deceleration effectively stalled. Electronic Anomaly: The Traction Control System (TCS) was reported as "Active" throughout the braking event, indicating potential improper electronic intervention. This vehicle has a history of significant electrical failures, including a total power loss on 10/15/2024 that required a high-voltage battery replacement. The failure of the braking system to respond to maximum driver input poses a catastrophic safety risk. I am requesting an investigation into the 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ's brake-by-wire and electronic stability control integration.

I was in a public parking lot and slowly approached a parking space in front of a store. When I applied the brakes to stop in the space, the car did not respond, it continued to drive forward, up the curb, crashed through the store front, and eventually came to rest mid-way in the store, amidst the furniture and store structure.

Within the last 20,000 miles this car has, and is now, been at the dealership 3xs for sudden lifter/camshaft failure. This last time almost caused an accident. One time the check engine light never even came on, two other times it came on as the car started slowing and shaking, so no notice as to what was about to happen.
