The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at 70 MPH, the engine had a misfire, and the vehicle started shaking. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was parked at the workplace and a handheld scan tool retrieved DTC: P0300 and P0324. The vehicle was towed to the residence and then was towed to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the lifters and camshaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Transmission jerks, surges ahead, clunks when downshifting and is completely unpredictable. Checked transmission fluid and everything is good. This is a serious issue as you never know what’s going to happen

This 2017 Silverado 2500HD LT L5P is showing limited distance with an error message of "DEF FLUID EMPTY" when it is not. There are no codes for DEF (the only codes are showing glow plugs, NOX1, and the Body Control Module). The truck will permit REGEN but not DEF fluid quality or pressure tests. Pin 14 displays 0v (empty). Five months ago the DEF pump was replaced with a NEW pump.

Brake assist issues occured while in the mountains. It was difficult to brake almost causing an accident. It appears to be a bad brake vacuum pump.

We were on vacation driving to Florida by the time we arrived 1500 miles later I had no brakes. This happened on a Friday. We called our mechanic in Oklahoma to explain it to him. He had us check a few things to see if it was a number of thing. He said it was the brakes vacuum pump. He had one in the shop for the same thing. You can't get in to a Chevrolet dealer to have it fixed in the time that we had. My husband did fix it but was extremely scared to drive in South Florida with limited to no brakes. My truck only had under 80 thousand miles on it. We live in a rural area so it's not like constant braking.

The transmission in my truck completely failed on a busy road during rush hour. I was in stop and go traffic and after one of my stops the truck wouldn’t move Luckily I was in the right hand lane and about 150 feet from the entrance to a parking lot and a stranger helped me push it to that lot. I had it towed to the dealership I bought it at The recite they gave me says “ transmission pump has failed and burnt clutches”. I have never pulled a trailer and only had 78,000 miles on my truck

Shifting was noticeable with a hesitation. Dealership said it was normal. Developed into a shudder while driving. Shudder came up with transmission code and decreased power. Not driveable. Miles are less than 108k
