I'm not sure what to call most of this but my truck has been vibrating when getting up to about 50 mph. When putting in gear it shows you put it in the gear wanted put doesn't register sometimes and perks you and clicks. The entire front end grinds, pops and clicks when turning forward or backwards. When doing the steering wheel will get stuck and want turn for a split second in turn causing steering To be misaligned causing you to basically steer the wheel in an unnatural position until you stop put it in park then proceed to drive again. I have had these issues since we bought the vehicle brand new. We have to get an alignment and balance rotation like every 6 months for it to only help for a about a month to not be as bad.

The truck caught on fire while I was returning from a trip out of state and then it appears it came from underneath either the transmission the engine or electrical. While returning home a message came on the panel on the highway, saying transmission, hot idle run I pulled off and did this and after about 15 minutes, the message light went off and I pursued Coming home nothing was wrong with the truck. After I dropped off to the passengers, I was on the way home and turned on home road and the message came on that says truck powering down all the lights came on the dashboard. I put the truck in park and shut the engine off had a manly open the doors and got out and smoke was rolling from underneath the truck. I grabbed the cell phones and told my passenger to call 911. I went back into the center of the cab to grab something out of the center council and flames came from underneath the hood up the glass of the windshield right in the middle of the truck. Backed away I called 911 again. Troy fire department responded in about six minutes. The truck was engulfed and gone. Ohio state patrol give me a claim number of [XXX] the instant [XXX]. There has been no problem with the truck or vehicle during the time I owned it. It was regularly service. It had 109667 miles on it. The truck was a 2020 Silverado from Bill Harris Ashland. Rear end went out within drivetrain warranty period. Chevy claimed it was due to a leak even though there was no evidence of one and they couldn’t produce the part. Almost immediately after getting it back it started to have transmission problems (8L90). They again claimed there wasn’t a problem. The truck now has 120,000 miles on it and we are replacing the transmission after it would drop gears and, finally, wouldn’t go into reverse.

I was driving the vehicle but it sounded like it was popping when I would turn and when I shifted gears. As a result, my brakes were not working and I almost hit another vehicle. I took it to the dealership where they claimed they fixed the issue. When I picked it up this past Saturday, within a block of the dealership, the truck began shaking and a rattling noise could be heard. I had to take the truck back to the dealership. The truck is at the dealership where it is supposed to be inspected again and hopefully properly fixed.

While the vehicle was in operation, the drivers side mirror fell off. The is a safety risk as I was not able to use mirror to check for vehicles in blind spot or in left lane as I was driving. Not to mention, as per NYS vehicle and traffic law, vehicles have to have at least a drivers side rear view mirror while in operation. After the vehicle was parked, inspection of the mirror assembly found severely corroded swivel and corrosion on the bolts holding mirror on the truck.

The Electronic Steering assist stopped working while I was driving to work. Was leaving a stop sign and steering wheel became stuff and notifications on dash appeared. Was able to get to side of the road and turned vehicle off for 20-30 mins and started back up and steering was normal. Notifications on the dash were: Service Power Steering and Service Trailer Braking System. Search online showed this is a known issue that has happened with these vehicles for years and clearly hasnt been addressed. This is very dangerous. Vehicle has 42k miles on it. I had the "Service Trailer Braking System" notification come on a couple times previously and steering felt "sloppy" but immediately went away. And Ive never used the trailer braking system so I didnt think anything of it.

I'm beginning to have similar problems with the 6.2 ecotec3 engine that gm has known problems and hasn't recalled them. Dealer indicates metal shavings from the main motor bearings. Just like others I will experience a total motor failure at anytime. This will be catastrophic if motor fails and shuts down. I fear I will be rear-ended or not be able to get out of harms way. This has happened to many with the same motor. Why would there not be a safety recall on a known safety issue. Others affected have been injured even killed because there vehicle just stopped in the middle of a roadway. I currently fear for my families safety and cannot simply opt out of a vehicle with only 18,000 and thousands invested. Instead it sits waiting for the right thing to be done. To be repaired to safely use. Thank you kindly.

2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Custom, bought new on August 10, 2020. On August 24, 2020 I returned the vehicle to the dealership with 524 miles on the odometer, for hard downshifting at low speeds. The technician returned the truck with 531 miles, stating that he could not duplicate the issue. The issue continued along with occasional shudder at speeds around 40-50 m.p.h. On December 14, 2022 I took the truck to a different dealership with 1,616 miles and it was returned with 1,625 miles on the odometer. The technician found a slight shudder at 25-30 m.p.h. under light acceleration, but could not duplicate any other malfunction. The technician stated there was no metal debris in the fluid pan and performed a flush and refill of transmission fluid, installed updated thermal bypass valve and three seals. The issues still persisted, but not as harsh or as frequently prior to this service. I returned to the original dealership again on September 3, 2020 with the same concerns at approximately 28-K miles. Again, after having my truck (4) days, the original dealership's technician stated that he could not duplicate the problem(s).

Truck was purchased from an authorized chevy dealership less than 6 months ago. Truck had transmission service just before purchasing it as it was *maintenance* not repairs. However all of a sudden the truck will stop accelerating in the middle of intersections where you typically would have a 1-2 or 2-3 shift. along with during acceleration on highway it will decide it doesnt want to shift anymore to a higher gear than 4th or 5th. This is causing a constant safety threat as i cannot control when the vehicle will move under its own power. This is a known problem with cheverolet as they will replace the parts that cause this if its under warranty however mine is not. Although the warranty is up the issue is caused by poor manufacturing process and they know that.
