2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE Complaints

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the second-row seat belts were being frayed while retracted by the belt latch. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the fraying of the belt webbing was slight but over time had become more noticeable and the contact was concerned that the belt would tear during a crash. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

In 2022, I had to have cylinders 1-7 replaced. At the time, these vehicles were known to have transmission problems. My vehicle was 3,000 over warranty and Chevy denied any fault and only reimbursed me half of the $1500 to get replaced. Today, my complete transmission failed. Two years later. Chevy denied any fault regardless of lawsuits filed. Is going to cost $6300 for total replacement. I have NEVER in my life had transmission issues on a vehicle--especially so early in the life of the vehicle. The car almost left me stranded on the side of the interstate. Chevy knows about this problem and will not make good on a vehicle I paid over $60000 for.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. On another occasion, while the vehicle was parked, the contact observed condensation underneath the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated approximately six months later while driving at approximately 55 MPH, the engine revved, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 116,000.

Air bag lights it’s on, I’m already went to a shop and they put the scanner and said that there’s no air bag And transmission go out with 78xxx miles

The hood and top of the car on multiple tahoes and suburbans with this body style and year have the clear missing I have family &friends same issue, as well as the bottom plastic piece by windshield wipers crack quick/loosen causing possible water to get in or defrost system to stall, also does not go through car wash systems many Chevy models in the 2017-2020 years have issue especially 2017/2018

Got the Tahoe and on my way to work it hit 75000 miles and the transmission blew y I was on the highway

The transmissions stopped working while my wife was driving. The car stopped in the intersection. She was able to shut it off and it restarted so that she could pull into a parking lot. Car was towed to the dealer. The car has 74,000 miles on it and we were told it needs a new transmission and that it would cost $6900 to repair. I called GM and filed a claim with them in hopes they would offer some assistance. I was told nothing could be done. I have since spoke to several repair shops and checked the internet and have found out that it seems GM is having this problem often, for the years 2015-2017 for the Tahoe, Yukon, and Silverado.

Front passenger air bag warning light lit up during road trip to NM. (1400 miles) warning bell sounded. We were very concerned airbag would explode at any minute. This was second time airbag light went off. First time was a loose sensor over drivers head. This time we repaired airbag in passenger seat at cost of $1800!. Now light is on again! This must be defective and needs a recall.
