2018 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Sheppard Afb, TX
The engine lifters and camshaft started to fail at 114,000 miles. I had to have it repaired at a dealership and it cost over $10,000. I had completed all recommended maintenance prior to the failure. 500 miles after that repair was completed, my transmission overheated and completely left me stranded on the side of the road. I had to have it repaired at a dealership which cost $$8,000

2024 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Murphy, TX
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 75 MPH, the engine shut off without warning. The contact safely coasted to the shoulder of the road and requested assistance from 911 to secure the vehicle from oncoming traffic. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer, where a diagnostic assessment confirmed a total engine failure, requiring replacement. The contact had previously taken the vehicle to a dealer for NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the inspection yielded no visible issues, and the recall was marked as completed. The vehicle remained at the dealer and had yet to be repaired. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,500.

2024 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE- Burkburnett, TX
My breaks have been squealing on my 2024 Traverse since about 6 months after my purchase in 2024. I have taken it to the dealership on multiple occasions and they stated that GM knows of the issue but there is no fix. The system states my front breaks are low. I recently took my Traverse to a break repair/replacement shop and they stated my breaks are not low and they look great and numerous people have brought their Traverse in with the same squealing complaint. With the amount of complaints why hasn't GM done anything about it?

The vehicle was then taken to a second local dealer, who retrieved a code for fuel injector number eight and diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to a third dealership, Knapp Chevrolet, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained unrepaired. 2026 CHEVROLET EQUINOX- Franklin, NJ
No warning messages or check engine lights. However, I am concerned for my safety as my 2026 equinox I bought last year in may of 2025 from motion chevy in hackettstown NJ with 21k miles (as of now, bought it brand new last year) has a windshield distortion that when looking to the passenger side of the windshield, it’s very wavy and distorted and I already had a Chevy dealership named Mcguire’s Chevy in newton dismiss it saying others on the lot had the same issue (which they did as I saw but still unacceptable!!) I also noticed many other owners of my vehicle have the same complaint via online forums and even after several replacements from GM the issue persists which is unacceptable. The next issue are the rotors. They most likely are warped as when I step on the brakes the steering wheel vibrates slightly and the car shakes slightly which is not safe. Again, McGuire Chevy in newton dismissed it saying normal. And lastly, the front end of the car shakes when starting vehicle with or without the air conditioner on. It shakes for 10-30 seconds and you can feel it strongly in the brake pedal area as well as rest of the front end of vehicle before going away which seems unsafe, yet the first dealer Mcguire’s said it’s normal. I am having these issues looked at by a local GMC dealer and hope they rectify the issue or else GM may need to do a buyback if they can’t fix the issues and keep saying it’s “normal”. They opened a case with GM for the shaking so far not the other issues yet so we will see. Honorable mention is the blend door actuator making a noise (another known issue) on this car via online forums making a noise every time you go from hot to cold and vice versa. Mine is affected to just not severely but enough to where it’s very irritating and it’s had this issue since new and the McGuire dealer said it’s normal….. at this point GM needs to issue recalls instead of dismissing customers.

2020 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE- Marysville, WA
I own a 2020 Chevy Traverse with currently 16,000 miles. I am currently dealing with a know shudder issue that has returned. I have already taken the vehicle under warranty to the dealership where the transmission was replaced on 6/29/2022 at 4919 miles then the torque converter was replaced separately on 9/20/2022 at 8106 miles for engine shudder. This vehicle is practically brand new. I reached out to GM with no help other than to pay to have it diagnosed again at the dealership. There are no open recalls on my vehicle when there should. There is the most recent bulletin, Bulletin No.: 23-NA-072 dated May 2023 that covers the 2020 Chevy Traverse for TCC Shudder: (Typically seen on 4th-5th Upshift as ISS Oscillation) This car is brand new and should never have needed a brand new transmission, torque converter replacement and still having the exact same problems as before.

I have had multiple times where my car kicks in the automatic emergency brake because it things I’m about to hit something. All those instances that it has happened, I was not about to hit something and the car short stops and stops in the middle of the street which is so dangerous because then I quickly have to start my car so that someone doesn’t crash into me since I’m stopped in middle of the road
