The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a dealer, where the NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) remedy was completed with an oil change and oil cap replacement. Approximately three months later, while the contact's wife was driving approximately 45 MPH, the engine stalled. The driver was able to coast to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine had failed. The engine was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission was slipping and shifting hard. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V083000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included. The dealer was notified of the failure, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

I am reporting a paint defect on my 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. The paint on the hood and roof is peeling, flaking, and delaminating without any external damage or misuse. The failure appears to be progressive and worsening over time. The clear coat and paint layers are separating, exposing bare metal and increasing the risk of corrosion. This issue is widely reported by other owners of 2015–2020 GM full-size SUVs, including the Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade. These vehicles were manufactured at GM’s Arlington Assembly Plant and are currently the subject of an active class-action lawsuit alleging defective factory paint application. Despite the widespread nature of this defect, General Motors has not issued a recall, service campaign, or extended warranty to address the problem. Repair costs are significant and require complete repainting of affected panels. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this paint delamination issue, as it appears to be a systemic manufacturing defect affecting a large number of vehicles and may lead to corrosion-related safety concerns over time. Hood scoop blinds me (and passengers) when sun reflects off it. Who designed this????!!!!

My husband picked me up from work in [XXX] we went over a very icy bridge the truck spun around and hit the guard rail on the bridge the airbags popped and broke two of my ribs I went to the hospital it was very painful I had to lose out on several days of work. while under warrantee the dealer quirk Chevy in Manchester NH, intentionally misdiagnosed the engine failure symptoms. The Service director did this three times all while under warrantee. now out of warrantee. my engine has completely failed. Silverado 1500 High-country with 6.2 L Gas engine with AFM. the service director in a private off site conversation admitted the intentional misdiagnose.

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, a banging noise was heard coming from the engine compartment, and the vehicle decelerated. In addition, several warning lights, including the check engine light and the anti-lock braking system light illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road, turned off the vehicle, and had the vehicle towed to a dealer. The dealer diagnosed that the engine and radiator failed and needed to be replaced. The engine and radiator were replaced. Approximately 5 months and 6,000 miles later, the failure recurred and the engine began to run rough. The vehicle was returned to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine failed again. The engine was in the process of being replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.

The motor blew——It is confirmed by a Chevrolet Dealership and they are now getting a reman engine as a replacement—There was a loud noise then it went dead—-Was able to start it and there was this gawd awful noise coming from the motor—Had it towed to the dealership where we were just told it was a motor failure

My engine was initially part of the 6.2L v8 engine recall. The dealer cleared my engine after inspecting it and told me my engine was not affected, but that I had to use corvette engine oil. After my 3rd corvette engine oil change, and two days after having it serviced and getting an all clear inspection from Chevy, the engine blew while going 70 mph on the highway. No warning lights. I looked down at my dash and there was a gray box that said “engine oil pressure low, turn engine off”. By the time I checked my side and rear view mirror I could see clouds of white smoke and other cars flashing me with their headlamps. I was traveling by myself with 4 small children through a very bad part of town. It was frightening. Thankfully we were able to safely pull over and have it towed to Chevy where they confirmed that the engine was blown. Chevy gave me a false sense of security when they told me my engine was not affected. I would never have put my family at risk had I known it was a ticking time bomb.

While driving to work last Thursday morning suddenly my 2023 Trailblazer let out a sorta growl and then a dragging noise thankfully I was able to get over and stop on the shoulder only to discover that my tail pipe was dragging from just after the catalytic converter as the bolts apparently sheared off leaving only the head of the bolts intact. Lucky for me I there wasn’t major damage. I did however have to get my vehicle towed and have the bolt heads cut off in order to have the exhaust fixed
