There is an incredible reliance on navigation and communication while driving. 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU- KISSIMMEE, FL
I am reporting a safety concern involving a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu. The vehicle was previously involved in accidents prior to my purchase and had known mechanical issues, including a gear shifting problem that was not properly repaired. In February 2024, while the vehicle was insured under Ocean Harbor Casualty Insurance Company, it sustained a significant front-end collision impacting the driver side. The impact was severe enough to cause structural damage, including a dent to the vehicle frame. Despite the severity of the collision, the airbags did not deploy at all. Based on the extent of the damage, airbag deployment would reasonably be expected. Prior to this incident, the vehicle had ongoing issues following repairs, including system errors and concerns that repairs may not have been properly completed by a certified facility. This raises concern that the airbag system may have been defective, improperly repaired, or compromised prior to the accident. I was not informed of any airbag or safety-related defects at the time of purchase from HGreg. I am submitting this complaint due to concerns of a potential safety defect involving failure of the airbag system during a serious collision.

2020 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Irmo, SC
I was driving at approximately 75 to 80MPH on the highway when my engine shutoff and the vehicle died while driving it. I was able to coast to the side of the road but had to cross two lanes to the left to do so while weaving in traffic to get to the shoulder of the road. There was no warning of any kind that would have made me aware of an issue prior to this happening. I was unable to get the vehicle started again and had to have it towed to my local dealership Hendricks Chevrolet in Columbia, SC. That occured on Saturday March 14th 2026, that Monday, I have had all regular and scheduled maintenance done to my vehicle either on time or prior to the recommended time including oil changes and the like. I went to the dealership and they told me that the engine had seized up and that this was a very well documented and common issue with the 6.2L L87 V8 Engine dating back to 2019 but that GM had only issued recalls on the 2021 - 2024 years to correct the issue. I asked the Service manager at Hendricks Chevrolet to file for a Goodwill Coverage request on my behalf to cover the repairs of the engine and he refused and stated that I had to do so through GM customer service line. I have done so since and my case number with GM is 92108267. My vehicle is currently at the dealership awaiting the go ahead from GM to replace the engine. I have an extended warranty on my vehicle that goes to 120,000 miles and the issue occured at 114,113 miles. This is a very well documented case where the engine connecting rod bearings fail due to oil starvation that leads to engine seizure.

2015 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN- Basking Ridge, NJ
When our new mechanic was checking over the car, he and his other mechanic both noticed that there was an increased brake pedal effort even though the brakes were in ok condition. Every time I’ve had the car serviced I have them check the brakes because they feel off. The car stops and the brakes check out with previous mechanics but something doesn’t feel right. Our new mechanic then gave me a recall bulletin from GM N192268490 and said he thinks our car is experiencing this issue. The recall was attached to our VIN when the mechanic pulled it up but when we called the dealer and checked the NHTSA website, my VIN number was apparently not part of the recall. I am writing to state that I believe my car may be experiencing the issue stated in the recall bulletin as per my mechanic’s findings. Attached is a copy of the recall bulletin given to us by our mechanic. Please advise.
