2025 DODGE CHARGER EV- pomona, NY
his vehicle is a two-door, five-passenger Dodge Charger equipped with the power Rear Seat Easy Entry feature. Because the vehicle only has two doors, the driver’s seat must automatically move forward toward the steering wheel to provide access for passengers entering or exiting the rear seat. There is a serious safety defect with this system. When the driver’s seat is moved forward using the Easy Entry feature, the seat travels toward the steering wheel as intended. However, when it reaches the forward position, the seat can suddenly and automatically travel rearward even though a passenger may still be in the process of entering or exiting the rear seating area. The seat moves rearward with significant force and does not adequately detect or stop for a person who may be in its path. A rear-seat passenger can be positioned directly behind the front seat when this unexpected movement occurs. The moving seat can pin or crush the passenger between the front seat and the rear seating/interior area. This is especially dangerous for children, who may take longer to enter or exit the rear seat and may not be able to react quickly enough when the seat unexpectedly begins moving rearward. This is not simply an inconvenience with the power seat. It creates a potential entrapment and crushing hazard during the normal and necessary process of entering or exiting the rear seats of a two-door, five-passenger vehicle. The unexpected rearward movement also appears inconsistent with the intended operation of the Rear Seat Easy Entry system. Dodge’s owner’s manual describes the seat automatically moving forward to provide rear-seat access and describes obstacle detection as part of the system. Despite this, the seat can unexpectedly return rearward while the rear-seat access area is still occupied. There also appears to be manufacturer service information addressing Easy Entry seats that move forward and then unexpectedly move rearward before the seatback is returned.

2025 DODGE CHARGER EV- Midland, TX
The contact owns a 2025 Dodge Charger EV. While reversing, the vehicle lost motive power and failed to restart. Additionally, the instrument cluster indicated that the transmission was switching gears, but the vehicle had completely stopped. The failure caused the contact to sustain whiplash and a herniated disc, for which medical attention was received. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on four separate occasions. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and it was determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The manufacturer sent an engineer to the dealer to inspect the vehicle; however, the contact was not provided a report. The failure mileage was 5,989.

Serious Loss-of-Propulsion Safety Incident Shortly before [XXX], [XXX] was driving on [XXX], a divided four-lane roadway. [XXX] entered the designated left-turn lane intending to cross two lanes of oncoming traffic and enter a shopping center. After allowing approaching vehicles to clear and determining that he had sufficient distance to safely complete the turn, [XXX] accelerated into the intersection. While he was crossing the oncoming lanes, the vehicle suddenly displayed a large warning accompanied by a red triangle stating: “STOP SAFELY VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF SOON.” The vehicle then lost normal propulsion and effectively stopped in the middle of the roadway while oncoming traffic was approaching. [XXX] pressed the accelerator completely to the floor. The vehicle responded only by moving forward at a slow crawl. [XXX] was ultimately able to clear the roadway before being struck. The vehicle has experienced repeated failures of its electrical, high-voltage propulsion, charging, and starting systems. Beginning in November 2025, the vehicle intermittently failed to start, shut down while idling, displayed a “Service Charging System” message, and would not properly request energy when plugged in. During a subsequent repair visit, the customer reported an electrical-system message, failure to start, and that the vehicle would turn off by itself while driving. The authorized dealer performed extensive diagnostics, documented numerous high-voltage and electrical fault codes, consulted manufacturer technical assistance, and ultimately replaced the rear electric drive motor. Despite these repairs, the same or substantially similar problems have returned. The unexpected shutdown while driving presents a serious safety hazard because of the potential for sudden loss of propulsion in traffic. The vehicle is available for inspection.

As I pulled out of my driveway, my vehicle’s accelerator failed to respond to my input. The braking system worked flawlessly, with no delay in response. However, when I attempted to accelerate in either forward or reverse, the vehicle took approximately 3–5 seconds to respond to my input. This is a major safety issue.

On August 15, 2026, my 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T became inoperable while being used on a public roadway. The vehicle could no longer be operated normally, leaving me stranded and requiring Dodge/Mopar Roadside Assistance. The vehicle entered an abnormal electrical/operating state and would not return to normal operation. Because I could not safely continue driving, I requested roadside assistance. The vehicle had to be transported to an authorized Dodge dealership. The vehicle was delivered after normal service hours on Saturday night and was left through the dealership’s after-hours/night-drop procedure for diagnosis when the service department reopens. This created a safety concern because the vehicle unexpectedly became disabled on a public roadway, creating a potential collision risk to the occupants and surrounding motorists. The vehicle has approximately 2,500 miles and had already required two prior warranty/service visits involving service-warning or service-light conditions within its first approximately 2,500 miles. The cause of this failure has not yet been determined. I do not want to speculate about the failed component before the authorized Dodge dealer completes diagnosis. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection. Dodge/Mopar Roadside Assistance and towing records document the incident and transport to the dealership. I am reporting this because a nearly new electric vehicle unexpectedly became inoperable during roadway use and required roadside assistance and towing. I am concerned about a possible electrical, propulsion, control-system, or software-related defect that could cause unexpected vehicle disablement.

battery pack control module, telematic box module, brake system control module, driver and passenger door latch module, ADAS camera module. I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden, I lost all power (limp mode), a turtle light came on the dash then alot of other lights came on. Then as I'm trying to get off the freeway, I am on my brakes and it sounds like I was throttling and the power was full force. This is definitely a safety issue.

While driving on Route 130 in New Jersey on 7/6/26 at around noon I encountered a heavy rain storm. During this downpour I received warning messages about the emergency hood release being activated and that the car was entering limp mode with reduced propulsion. My car slowed to a crawl, luckily everyone was going slower thanks to the heavy rain and I was able to pull over to attempt to close the hood. It took around ten tries but I was finally able to get it to shut so I could drive home safely. This has happened before after a car wash so I suspect that there is some sort of electrical issue or short causing the hood to release when exposed to water.

1. car flashed text on dash "stop safely vehicle will shut off soon". this was when it was 'off' (vehicle was stuck not in park and it was unclear if engine was on or off, but could not shift gears or move car). I'm concerned the vehicle has electric failures and I drive a lot and with children on highways. Warnings for transmission, electric kept cycling. 2. safety was it was a big parking lot with families walking in front/ around my car with baseball fields in front for over 2 hours. 3. car is waiting for dealership to reproduce or confirm, but the car was towed yesterday but I was told its starting today. this car has multiple open cases for re-occuring problems with electric. 4. no prior warnings except intermittent service engine soon that would be on for a day, then off for a day a few times (had an appointment scheduled to assess but then this bigger problem occurred).
